A concentrate is used containing fermented grape juice. This is hardly the same thing as taking ordinary water only and turning it instantly into the finest wine.

Popular as in multiple people feel a need to condemn it on a regular basis?

Ya know, you almost make that sound like a bad thing.

Certainly there must be scriptural linkage to this from Sodastream and the end times!!!!!!
Sodastream says it can turn water into wine | Fox News
I have never tried any fruit drink that said "from concentrate" that tasted anywhere near as good as real, not-from-concentrate fruit juice. That "wine" can't possibly be any good.

How do you concentrate ethanol anyway? Everclear is 96% ethanol I think (I spent a year drunk for research purposes - a lot of people seemed to like drinking so I tried it systematically and thoroughly) but that's about as strong as it gets I think. Can you concentrate it further than that?

I think Soda Stream has to be desperate to get attention. And the few times I tasted Soda Stream... well now we are talking about traumatic experiences. Thanks but no thanks! Wine from Soda Stream? I guess it is sparkling, then. And why try to make awful tasting sparkling wine from concentrate????

Think about it. You and your spouse are having a romantical evening at home. The kids are in bed. The husband looks the wife deeply in her eyes telling her how beautiful she is. Touching her hand and leading her into the kitchen. The strawberries are already there together with two empty champagne glasses. Then, he goes to the soda stream machine to make some fresh champagne....The wife quickly grabs the bowl with strawberries, goes to the bedroom and locks the door. That was the end to a very romantical evening.

Perfect! Only thing missing is the chocolate in which to dip the strawberries. And I would be the one grabbing them and running. Much better than enduring a champagne from concentrate.

Strawberries dipped in chocolate. Yes. I knew there was something missing from this scenario. Thank you for filling it in for me.
