What are some of your simple pleasures?

For me it is moisturizer. I get a most terrific pleaser form having it melt into my skin and my skin is not dry any more. I honestly thing I would be sad and long for it if I did not have it. …

I find it difficult to enjoy much, but music is one big one, for sure. Often times driving while listening is one of the best feelings. Windows down, volume up.

You do not have to answer if you do not wish to, but if you do, what happened at 14 to bring this on? Have you ever heard of or tried Pristiq? It is a wonderful med for depression, pricey, but if that is an issue the company might be able to help with the cost of it. I have always believed that depression is anger turned inward.

I simply have the brain wiring (or miswiring) for depression.
I've always been reluctant to take meds for it. And the one time I did, after the first month I was not able to get refills on time and it had an obvious effect on me, permanently. Something that changed me so drastically after a month makes me nervous to try again.

But nobody should have to suffer from depression when help is available. There are many different kinds of depression meds, I urge you to give Pristiq a try, it really helped me.

Hot bubbly baths every evening with my candles lit, its my secret closet where I talk to the LORD about my day :)...

For years when I was mentally ill, I could only live in my bedroom, although the Lord has healed my mind in many ways, I still live in my bedroom, I eat, sleep and use my bed as my couch in the day...But my room is all decorated bright now, I have one end that is full of baby plants that are growing beautifully, a responsibility God has given me, to keep these alive by watering them, just as He keeps me alive and waters me :)...

I keep the rest of the house in order although I do not use the other rooms, I have children and many grand children so it is often used in the summer...

My bedroom is my safe haven from the world, its cozy and snug, sometimes I light my candles in my bedroom, pamper myself with my creams, watch my films on YouTube snuggled up at night , even when my little grand children come to visit me, they all dive in bed next to me :D, I live a simple life , these are my pleasures...xox...

I enjoy dogs in my bed.
And my advent calendar. Tiday I got my favourite hand lotion, another pleasure of mine.
And a bit over the top expensive bars of soap. I got my favourite on sale. It has pure gold in it.
Fire place.
Watching my dogs interact.
Potatochips on a Friday evening.

I really have a pleasurable life :)

One simple pleasure I have is looking at sunrises and sunsets. Or looking at pictures of either on my computer.

Another one would be going outside on those cold (but not absolutely freezing) mornings late in the year. Something about the cold weather, the feel and sound of the wind blowing and the Sun shining gives me this good, unique feeling that's difficult to describe. Hope that doesn't sound too weird to anyone. :)

Well, after having permanent personality changes from only a months use, I'm not eager to try again.
Also I'm already on about 12 medications. Not having insurance or income doesn't make me eager to need more meds either.

I'm sure other moms are gonna think I'm crazy, but I actually love getting up in the middle of the night to feed my son. When the whole house is dark and still and peaceful and I go into his room, close the door, flick on the lamp and Netflix, and it's like we're in our own little world :) Sometimes the cat joins us. I'll definitely miss it when he gets older.
