Jesus taught the Resurrection of the Dead, and he proved it by resurrecting Lazarus and himself from the Dead.

Without Jesus, there is no Resurrection of the dead.

The Resurrection of the Dead

But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is worthless, and so is your faith. In that case, we are also exposed as false witnesses about God. For we have testified about God that He raised Christ from the dead, but He did not raise Him if in fact the dead are not raised.

For if the dead are not raised, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If our hope in Christ is for this life alone, we are to be pitied more than all men.

Without the Resurrection of the Dead, we all enter eternal death aka the void. It's the end forever, and life was ultimately pointless and about hedonistic pleasures. There is no Hell, but there is no Heaven either, and no judgement.

With Jesus, we have the Resurrection of the Dead, which promises perfect judgement upon humanity. For those clothed in Jesus, Heaven, for a large majority that reject, Hell.

While I do not like the idea of Hell, or so many people going there, I do like the promise of Heaven! Eternal joy! That means that life isn't pointless, and that there is meaning in the universe, and that meaning is to worship Jesus! The Resurrection and the life!

Therefore, I will stick to Jesus, because without him, there is no hope!

I sense a hint of Gnosticism. But I might be confusing that with another "ism" or worldview............

How so? I never stated that God was evil or ignorant.

Saying there is no heaven or hell is not Biblically sound. Of course, there are three heavens defined in Scripture, one of them being the abode of God. Hell is a hot topic. However, if you look into the origin of the word, you will see that it is actually a mistranslation of at least four other words from the original languages of Scripture. Death is the last enemy to be conquered (it already is conquered in Christ) and it and hell will be thrown into the Lake of Fire following the resurrection and judgment of all :)

The "no heaven and no hell" part was getting me, which is why I responded the way I did. It is definitely true though that there is NO hope without Christ.

Again, you are fundamentally misunderstanding what I posted! :)

Actually, you said that without Jesus, there is no resurrection of the dead. Still, my apologies :)

Without JESUS we all would be judged by the law.So then there would be hell.
For those who still don't get it, I'm comparing the Atheistic perspective of "There is no God" where after one dies is eternal death, and comparing it to Jesus, where after one dies and believes in Him yields eternal life, or hell if one doesn't believe.

Either way, for the Atheist, there is no hope without Jesus. Their only hope is eternally entering the Void.

Of course, when you bring Jesus into the picture, we have divine Justice and Mercy, that the Atheist doesn't have access to because they never believed.

All I'm saying is that life is pointless without Jesus, this is just as true for the Atheist, as for the believer.

That! Is why I choose to stick with Jesus.
