Hi All, I'm pretty new here. When I click on Reply or Reply with Quote, the cursor becomes a blue spinning hoop, and no matter how long I let it run, the screen does not change. Quick Reply does work, but it's not as effective as Reply With Quote. I have Windows 7 with a dial-up modem. There are line-of-sight problems with wireless services, and I can't afford HugesNet (ret. and didn't provide for myself very well). Maybe this is the problem. Also, 4 years ago I moved to the central Sierras near Grass Valley, CA and am located way out in the sticks on a gravel road in a narrow east-west canyon. For line-of-sight I would have to mount a dish on top of a 150 foot tall tree. They say that's too far from the receiver. If dish signals could travel through 1,000 ft of wire, I could put a dish on top of the hill in BLM land behind my house, but NOooooo........it's something like 100 ft. max. I can't move to a more signal-friendly location.

Dial up is probably the problem. That is living in the dark ages anymore.

There is a "workaround."

Use the simple "Quick Reply" as is normal for you.

You can Copy/Paste anything, or everything, from the post you are replying to, into that "Quick Reply." Then use the "QUOTE" icon (the cartoon bubble on the right side of the toolbar) to set-off the quoted text.

Then simply go below that quoted text, and type your reply.
