I know we're supposed to do things for people out of the kindness of Our Own Heart but nothing irks me more than people who are ungrateful. One of my co-workers needed to be off last night because he had a death in the family so I was asked to cover his shift. Bear in mind this was in addition to my shift so in all I was at work for about 14 hours. When I came in to relieve him this evening he was talking smack about I didn't put up a few pans and a few utensils. So I went to management and I said don't ever ask me again to cover another one of his shift because I'm not going to do it

Heh, don't blame you at all, but either way because it is you did this good deed and were unthanked by man, may the Lord God give to you a blessing.

sounds like an ungrateful jerk, to me.

Don't let it affect you, to the point of making you less than you are, though....

Don't let his behavior control you.

Try to bear in mind that he may not have it altogether right now if the person who died really meant something to him.

I hear ya buddy, I can't stand it when you do something nice for someone but all they do is complain. Like my mom for instance I will do the dishes for her or clean the house to be nice but she says it doesn't really count if your doing it in plain sight because then it's like your doing it for thanks and so I always have to wait until she is out of the house to do stuff like that or else it doewn't count :/

Well Dude you said this guy had a death in the family. I would not expect him to be normal for a while if he was close to that person or close to someone that was close . Think about it did that guy get any sleep? Did he get in to trouble for the things he was complaining about? Anyways don't let his lack of gratitude get in the way of your charity or from doing the right thing .
I suggest repay his poor behavior with kindness.
It's not about what we receive it's about doing all things for God .
Blessings

He probably reacted irrationally due to what he is going through, but I understand why you are upset.
