I don't think there are any gooses flying around, except a few old-timers on airshows.

I guess my post shows my age. The goose was getting scarce when I was in one. It was an amazing plane. Our pilot was rare as well, an old bush pilot. He was knicknamed one eyed epaleptic bob.
It was an amazing expeariance. My favorate part was when we went to land in the water, I was sitting up in the front, so he told me that if water, for some reason starts coming into the plane that the kick door was in the nose in front of me. Kick it out and get as high up on the plane as you can.
We landed fine and I fell in love with flying in small planes.
I want to go back someday, but I wonder if it would ruin the memory.
Flying over those islands in a goose and landing in the bering sea then powering onto the shore is something great.
Ill tell you about the landing we made on the way out with only two of the landing gear working sometime. Thats another fun story.
