Well im 49, (50 next year).

In all that time ive never needed to bother much with face skin creams.
My skin has always been combination to normal. Face creams just made
it greasy and caused breakouts.

For the the last few months it has been a tad dry, so I’ve been using face
creams more than before. Not every day but maybe every other day, especially
when it’s been cold.

A few weeks ago I even found myself looking at those creams that are suppose
to firm and lift the skin and get rid of fine lines. Yikes! Although I don’t have
wrinkles yet.

So has anyone discovered anything which works. Lol
Or does a bit of candle grease work or duck fat, work just as well. :D

Ps I know the men are just as keen to try skin creams as the women, they just don’t
like to admit it!

So men/women what’s your beauty secret to keep the wrinkles and dry skin away and
does it actually work.

Oh and at what age did you start to think you were getting old.

My skin has always been a pain in my bum.. regular peelings (not daily) and sheet masks work very well if u have problems with dry skin. Thats my secret cause tho im not old, my skin gets really dry and cracks tho. That fixed my problem lol
Plus theres a component in some creams that attracts the moisture of the air, to ur skin. Idk what its called again but i heard thats really cool

i started feeling old right around 14. lol and true story. old compared to my peers, i guess.

topical creams don't do much for wrinkles, sad to say. and duck fat! imagine the dogs and cats willing to lick your face! :p

mom considered wrinkles a kind of badge of honor.
"this one i got when your sister had measles and we worried for her vision. this one i got when my brother was injured in the car accident. this one i got when you were 2 hours late for curfew. ... "

she felt they were proof positive she had people in her life she loved, and that she laughed, which can't be bad. :)

I use Cerave moisturizing face wash instead of soap. If you wash your face with soap, it tends to make your skin dry.

There are a number of products aimed at Men these days. I don't use any of them apart from Body Spray / Deodorant and after shave. I come from a Generation that considered anything other than Brylecream, Shaving Soap and Old Spice as effeminate. I remember when Men's Hair Spray came on the market it was met with some suspicion!

I considered myself old when I reached Sixty. Now I'm seventy I consider a sixty year old to be a mere Lad!!

Psst Brylecream and old spice are just older versions of Armenia for men and
moden hair wax lol.

So so what do you use on your face to keep your younger looking you. :)

Hey it could be worse, Jack, from the Jack and Jill nursery rhyme used vinegar and
brown paper. I guess that may have been an old fashioned remedy back in the day.

Facials cover about 5%, if less, of skin maintenance. The biggest impact, apart from the genes God already created you with, is what you put into your body. I use glutathione, detoxified iodine and carvacrol - x and am a vegan. Along with daily exercise, this is my approach to the the most healthiest skin I can claim.

If all sorts of nasty, (such as meats, sugars, caffeine etc) chemically processed substances are put into the body daily, your inner organs and external - ie; skin will most likely suffer. Exercise, as close to nature/natural food as possible and preventative measures are a sure fire way to a beautiful complexion!

The answer is nothing. I think that without meaning to be chauvinist Women tend to worry about their looks more than Men especially young ones which is understandable. At my age I don't expect to be the next Brad Pitt or whoever.

I have discovered a good way to find out what I will look like twenty years from now. I look in the mirror as soon as I wake up. That is the face I will have in twenty years. MAN, I look old first thing in the morning!

I do not have personal experience with all these sculpting, lifting cremes, exfoliating stuff and all that, but from what I have observed from others none of it helps one bit. It's all a big money pit. For dry skin, any dry skin, skin moisturizer works. Anything else that is supposed to be better is a con.

Nothing will keep you looking young as you age. The ads are deception. Wrinkles will find your face and skin tone changes mostly to dry. Nothing will firm up your face - they only last for about 30 min. at the most.

What I do is drink lots of water - it does help skin. And accept my looking older and older each year. Everyone goes through it. But smiling really helps. At last your lips are turning up!

Saxophone playing helps with the mouth and jaw line too.
