I was at work a few days ago and we were told of our annual retreat which is being located in Las Vegas in a few months....we were also told of us possibly needing a passport to go if Nevada does not get an extension on January 22nd. I, for one think this is ridiculous. What are your thoughts?. Oh and if you could pop in some fun things to do while we are there besides gambling that would be fantastic :)

I have googled a few different ways and cannot find this matter. Why would one need a passport? Are we kicking them out for allowing brothels?

I do apologize, it looks like it may be own state that may be an issue worst case scenario is I will need some form of alternate identification, but will be sure to make alternate plans if needed :)

In regards to things to do in Vegas besides gamble, there is the Freemint Street experience (with media dome), the High Roller observation Ferris wheel, see the Fountains/light show at the Bellagio Hotel, watch the volcano eruption in front of the Mirage Hotel, go to the top of the Stratosphere Hotel (over 1100 feet tall) with rides at the top, the Forum shops at Caesars Palace, the Eiffel Tower observation deck at the Paris Hotel. Catch a Cirque du Soleil show and you can also take a ride to Hoover Dam.

hope and pray that all goes well...

but, don't forget just 'WHERE you are GOING', and what goes on there
in the open and in the shadows'.//nothing new here that most don't already
know, particularly 'older-overcomer-gamblers...what you are walking into by choice
can and has been for many, their demise...

.......fun things to do while we are there.......
New York New York has a fun roller coaster that goes around the hotel.
The Stratosphere has an insane ride at the top.
Sometimes Reba/Brooks & Dunn play at Caesar's Palace.
Fremont Street is pretty cool.
It's all about how much money you're willing to spend.
And be aware, Vegas is crawling with
gorgeous women who aren't wearing much.
Not recommended for children or the easily offended.

I think the passport issue has to do with a new rule that all of the id/drivers licenses for all of the states need to comply with Federal guidelines. I don't know all of the details, but I do know that each state needs to make sure their id/licenses comply by a certain date.

Last time I was in Las Vegas I got married to one Tourist. We didn't need a passport as we were legals.
