I took a book one time and wrote down the things I needed to be consistent in....
Talk less,
Write more on my blog,
Read more,
Be more diligent..... and many other things.....
For the first two days, I felt Fired up.... I was deliberate about my actions and I handled all my decisions well.....However, by the third day.... I went back to being the 'normal' talkative, Lazy me....:(
This has been the story of my life..... I keep making serious Life-changing decisions.....but I've been stuck with the problem of being deliberate and consistent....
I feel like I would have achieved better things in Life if I had just been consistent.....
Let me ask this one question..... How do you master the 'ACT' of CONSISTENCY....

Pick things that we actually want to do. Be specific about times and places to accomplish these things. Eliminate/put off distractions. If you know checking you email, or whatever will cause you to get sucked in, then save these as rewards for after your achievements. Remember you create your habits and your habits create you.

Lots of "shoulds" there. I would have a problem with that. Why not just take one thing at a time - do that one thing until it becomes a habit. Forget the looooong list.

There is always an opportunity cost to anything we do.You should ask yourself anytime you feel so lazy to jot down ideas for your blog-what is the opportunity cost of this activity to my blogging. If it is not worth it,then DISCIPLINE yourself.
The cure to INCONSISTENCY is DISCIPLINE.And this is a very hard virtue you know.Even in our day to day walk with God,we sometimes behave undisciplined( disobeying God) .
Though we all need to self-motivate ourselves, but you should surround yourself with positive-minded people who will fire you to bring out the best in you.
I see a bright future in you my dear Christian sister.

First of all, no one is 100% consistent, so don't beat yourself up too much. More importantly, decide what your first priority in life is. For me it is the study of the Word of God. I spend time everyday in study which I do early in the day to make sure it gets done before I get distracted or too tired. After that everything else is just a detail of life or the application of what I know from scripture. For instance I try to stay in fellowship as much as possible by regularly confessing any known sin to God (1John 1:9). This keeps me filled with the Holy Spirit throughout the day. I try to keep tabs on my attitude, motivation, and sinful weaknesses and take appropriate action. This might motivate me to talk less and listen more for instance. For the Christian the battleground is in the soul.

You might like to look up David Goggins for motivational help. I saw a video of him today and he has achieved some amazing things. Check him out on Wikipedia for an introduction. I don't know what his beliefs are whether he is a believer or not. I think not but don't know for sure.

WOW Faith,

you are an amazing young woman, thinking of ways to better yourself in your
life at 22yrs. old, and such positive ways at that - if only I could go back in time
and be half of the person you are at that age - you are definitely on your
way to a wonderful life, prayerfully, with many strong and loving
family and friends encouraging you, with of course, Jesus being the first -
how could He not be pleased with you?
keep up the good works and day-by-day you will get stronger and stronger...

This has got to be the most encouraging response I've gotten so far..... I will definitely keep at it.... I really want to be better in all aspects of life. I also want people to see God(Love) in me, so that my life can preach the gospel.
I know I might not be able to attain perfection.....but I want to keep trying to be the best I can be.
I really, really appreciate you.
