This is a variation of the thread What comes to mind with one word... There are times when, in a conversation, or when listening to a sermon, a radio program or other, i am reminded of songs familiar and not so familiar. Like on a preaching on Acts 3, the children's song Silver and gold have i none came to mind. Like this:

Do u have such songs in mind, or if u could make up ur own short jingle (or from psalms, etc), that is welcome too. You dont need to post a video, just title or a few lines are alright.

There was a blog by a filipino in another forum on The mind of Christ. Immediately this song came to mind. What's interesting is i didnt know it was first published in a children's songbook.

MAY THE MIND OF CHRIST, MY SAVIOR

Philippians 2:5 says, "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus."

May the Mind of Christ My Savior, was written by Kate B. Wilkinson as a result of her meditating on that verse. She thought about what it meant to have the mind of Christ. To have the mind of Christ is to think His thoughts; to keep His commands; to do His will; to submit to Him.

In the words of her song, it is “to have Christ with His love ‘controlling all I do and say.’” She also alluded to Hebrews12:1-2 in her hymn: "May I run the race before me…looking unto Jesus."

The song is a prayer that asks God to help us add to our lives, various aspects of the will of Christ. It was first published in the London children’s hymnbook, Golden Bells, in 1925.

The six stanzas of the hymn were originally intended for daily devotional reminders; one for each day of the week leading up to Sunday.

I think it's just the phrasing in the OP that is not clear, so I'll ask a question to clarify the objective of this thread:

1. Is this thread the new repository for all the posts I have seen that reminded me of a song, and the song that goes with the post?

2. Is this a game where I take what you posted and post a relevant song you reminded me of?

3. Is this both 1 and 2? Or did I miss the whole point and this is something entirely different from 1 and 2?

Hi lynx!

Sorry took so long... no, not #2. It's just somewhere one can post any song that comes to mind when you hear or see something. Idk, i seem to remember a post by someone, and most like it was you, but i never found it again... something abt associating something like a word or an event or other to a song-- just like that. Not too interesting, huh?

For example when i hear the word maybe in conversation, Annie's song "Maybe" from the musical Annie quickly comes to mind. When i hear anyone talk abt cockroaches, then i remember "La cucaracha." That's it=).
