Is it ever possible to strive for failure? What if you fail, you reached your goal, means you succeeded in failing in that case you failed....

Everything I say is a lie, and that's the truth. So if what I just said is true then what I just said is a lie...

"Wherever you're going, there you are."

I think Yogi Berra said that, but I'm not certain.

Yep, you definitely failed because you succeeded at failing. Great job! You failed! Woooohoooo! :)

Failure can usually be achieved without effort.... unless you're trying to fail at breathing or something.. :p

Yoda tells Luke there is no try, just do.

So Luke tries not to try...

EXACTLY what I was thinking when I read the first post! But then I found out somebody already said it... :p

Keen observation. Unless you were trying to NOT make a keen observation, in which case it was a fail. :p

At least Socreta is out pitching thread ideas. It could be worse... he could just be hanging back to criticize everything everybody else does.

I'm reminded of an old Adams Family show. Gomez (the father of the family) has been trying a lot of stunts, and he keeps succeeding, until he realizes the only thing he has not yet accomplish is to fail at what he tries. So he tries being shot out of a cannon and ricocheting off various buildings in town.

"But darling, that's what you do every Thursday."
"Ah but today I'll be knitting a sweater while I ricochet! And everybody knows I can't knit."

*later*

"So darling, did you succeed at failing?"
"Want a sweater?"

At the end of the show he realizes he failed at failing, which made him successful at failing... or something. He tried to fail but he couldn't, so his objective of failing at failing was successful. Or it was a failure. Or something.

Okay, I thought of a clever line, actually I'm going to borrow it from Paul in the Bible.........

"When I am weak, I am strong!" :)

There is an old song that goes something like "sometimes I think its a sin when it feels like I'm winning when I'm losing again". Secular song and secular artist.

For the cause of Christ

failure is satan's goal for all of us, he only desires for us to fail in our lives with the
many 'distractions' that he creates and imitates to keep us from following our Saviour...
