How many on one post, or at a time in your notifications? I remember my most viewed post got somewhere in the double-digits likes one time...I only remember that because I was surprised :p. Often, I can peg when a post is going to be popular, and this wasn't one that I thought would be well received. Anyway, of course I like likes. It is good to know one is liked, and it is good to spread the love by liking other's posts. Not the kind of person who is going to be posting for the sake of the likes, though.

As an aside, the groups don't have the option to like, which irritates me. It is a good way to let someone know that you've seen their post and support them, even when words fail.

I likey like likes a lot...:plol

I think the most I got was somewhere between 18 to 20 on one post before...The funny thing is I am kind of blunt and just speak my mind most of the time...That post was extremely blunt so I didn't figure anyone would like it.

Then again, I took my time once making a post and thought wow... everyone will like this...it's got something for all...and I only got one like for it and that was just because it was my bf at the time and I think he just felt sorry for me...lol.

And like someone else said, I like to give likes too...Just look at my profile and you can see, I have given almost 3 times more likes that I have gotten...

But, Oh well, it is better to give than receive, right...:)lol

I've been guilty of posts searching for likes that of doesn't mean I make stuff up I always mean what I say.I know we should search for mans approval but some recognition is nice every once in a while What are the most likes you've gotten? Is there such thing as to many likes ? opinions pleases?
I don't know if you've noticed this about me, but I can be a little off the wall at times. (And everyone is shocked at the word "little" in that last sentence.) Sometimes I don't know if I'm totally off the wall or on target. I also say stuff so directly that even I look back the next day and it looks like I was angry, but I remember I wasn't even a little irked. (Thus the reason I sometimes start with things like "this isn't meant as arguing with you" or "real question.") Worse yet, is when it even looks like I was angry to me the next day, and I absolutely know I was joking around or being humorously sarcastic.

I've often said I'm a writer. You've never heard me say I'm a good writer, because I know my biggest flaw is "I know what I meant, so why don't you?"

And for all those reasons, I like seeing likes, just to tell me I didn't fly too far from my coo-coo's nest.

How many doesn't matter, unless I think I'm speaking for most, and I'm not sure I should be speaking for most. Good day to get a few likes. Bad day to get none.

But one thing I hate about likes. The word is "like." (And this is the writer in me getting picky about the word itself.) On the Prayer Request forum, I'm often dumbfounded (yes, me being dumbfounded must surprise quite a few people) to know what to pray or what to say. At those moments, I usually body-language to the Lord, so he knows "What this person needs here? That!" When people hurt that much and ask for prayers, clicking "like" always feels like I'm liking the bad stuff going on in their lives. Feels mean, but I keep hoping the person knows what I mean.

And, another one bothers me sometimes. Kind of feels like a lie, or more like a half-truth. When I'm talking to someone, ask some questions, and they answer, I click "like" to let them know I read it. Not a problem if I read and agreed, because that really is a like. A problem when I read it, disagree, but know there is no purpose in continuing. Probably could use a "I read what you wrote" button on this site, but then again. Got to ask -- how many buttons fit under one post? Because I'd also like an "I'm praying for you" button, a "disagree" button, a "warning: this post is written by a deceiver" button, a "poppycock" button, an "i don't care" button, a "this is so good it should be framed and hung on a wall" button, and an "lol" button.

Also don't like the can't-rep-someone-until-I-rep-a-few-others thingy. I've seen some teachings/answers on this site that take 2-4 posts. They're beautiful. They're wonderful! All of it -- post by post -- deserve their own rep, but I have to pick one out of several, and it always feels like I'm telling the person, I liked one out of three things your wrote." And some people deserve reps for just about everything they add. (coughjoicough) I really don't rep simply because someone is my friend. I rep because it's that good. And, considering a rep plus $3 would get me a can of diet, caffeine-free Pepsi, I don't see what the big deal is. Not like we earn any brownie points if we rep. And, sure I got Rep Power up the wazoo now, but people here know me enough to know that doesn't mean anything other than I talk A LOT! lol

Recently, FB told me I was on the anniversary for when I first joined, and had a little media-player presentation that told me stuff I didn't know -- like who liked my post most often. Hubby. Gee. No kidding? But, yeah, not just for support, for agreement too. It counts even if the person knows you offsite too.

BTW, almost tempted to ask if the one where you got lots of support was something you said against me? I tend to bring that out of even the best people.

Lol...but no it wasn't about you...but if I am remembering correctly, I think we both got a lot of likes during our little run in...Some times I think folks like to see a good argument...

Honestly though, the more I get to know you the more I am seeing that we have similar personality traits and many similar beliefs...so that's probably why it went down like a head on collision...Two people who are similar, agree really well, until they don't...lol

And seriously, I really do enjoy and like much of your posts:)

I like it best when people are responding to my posts.

I'm not that good at giving likes.

But I like getting likes.

I've never really comprehended the full meaning of "You Reap What You Sow"...lol.

I agree with Depleted in that I often use 'like' as an
acknowledgement of having read a post in the thread.
Also as an I agree with this.
