A case made for Pentecost

Scripture background:

The 7 feasts of the Lord are pre Appointed Times, Prophetic Shadows. The foundation all scripture is built on.

The 7 Feasts of the Lord
1) Passover, 2) Unleavened Bread, 3) Firstfruits, 4) Pentesost, 5) Rosh Hashanah 6) Yom Kippur 7) Tabernacles

The 7 Feasts of the Lord, govern scriptural events & time lines. The Feasts were planned, written & fixed. Before the sun, moon & heavens were set as acting witness's to God plan (Gen 1:14).

Ex 23: Three mandatory Pilgrimage "Harvest Feasts" = Passover, Pentecost & Tabernacles! Three Resurrection Orders = "Soul Harvest" shadows!

Group 1 First Fruits "Harvest"-Passover (Matthew 27:52). This one has already happened!

Group 2 Main "Harvest" Pentecost. Jew & Gentile believers from the grace dispensation (Eph 3:2 & Col 1:25-27). The only Harvest where a count down (Omer) is made. Could the Body of Christ/Church be "Harvested" this Pentecost?

Group 3 Tabernacles "Harvest" (Isa 17:5-6 & Jer 6:9, Rom 11:26). Every Jew alive at Christs return.

Shavout (Hebrew), Pentecost (Greek)
At the 1st Pentecost on Mt Sinai (Ex 19), when Moses gave the Law. God sealed a COVENANT with the Israelites. Marking them his own set-apart people. The NATION OF ISRAEL IS BORN!

Acts 2:1-4 At the Temple Mt on the 1st Pentecost after the Lord Jesus resurrection. God sealed a New Covenant, opened to all peoples. "Believers were filled/sealed with the Holy Spirit" The New Covenant CHURCH IS BORN!

The Holy Spirit of Christ is given to believers as a "seal" at the moment of salvation. References of the Holy Spirit given as a seal: 2 Corinthians 1:22, Eph 1:13-14, Eph 4:30, 2 Timothy 1:14, 2 Cor 5:5.

The observance of Pentecost (Greek) Acts 2:1, Shavuot (Hebrew) Festival of "Harvest" (Ex 23:16), Festival of Weeks (Ex 34;22 Lev 23:15-22, Deut 16:16, 2 Chron 8:13, Num 28:26)

Leviticus 23:
15 And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:

16 Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD.

17 Ye shall bring out of your habitations ""two wave loaves"" of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be "baken with leaven"" they are the firstfruits unto the LORD.

2 loaves, baked with LEAVEN, Why?
They represent both Jew & Gentile (Believers). Each full of leaven, representing sinful people. (Eph 2:12-16)

But God accepts them & us because of FAITH in the Sacrificial Sin Atonement of Messiah/Jesus Christ. That cleanses us from & removes ALL the believers sins (1 John 1:7)

Even though the two wave loaves were leavened (represented through-out scripture as sin). The Lord counted them holy unto Himself.
Rom 11:16 For if the firstfruit be holy (Christ), the lump (Believers) is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.

BOOK OF RUTH
For 3500 yrs the Book of Ruth was read every Pentecost. The story of a Kinsman Redeemer. A shadow of Christ & his Bride/Church. Boaz a wealthy landowner of the tribe of Judah. Takes Ruth, a gentile for his wife.

Ruth 3:9 And he said, Who art thou? And she answered, I am Ruth thine handmaid: ""spread therefore thy skirt over thine handmaid"" for thou art a near kinsman.

(NOTE: Spread therefore thy skirt (TALITH) over thine hand maid: This verse is a marriage proposal. When a Jewish man married a woman, he threw the end of his his skirt (TALITH) over her head, covering her, to signify that she was now under his covering/protection. When we say yes to Christ, he seals us with his Holt Spirit)

Rabbinic traditions:

DECORATING THE BRIDE

Another shadow on Pentecost: A time spent tradition called ""decorating the bride"". (The Church is the Bride of Christ) Jews stayed up all night studying Scripture. In the hope that they will receive a special blessing. They believe that God will favorably answer prayer by briefly opening up the heavens and supply a blessing. Sounds like Thess 4:16 to me!

FESTIVAL WITHOUT A DATE

Pentecost is also referred to as "the festival without a date." The reality as originally calculated by the new moon, the Passover and a seven week countdown. So, the actual calender day/date is quite flexible.

JUDGMENT OF THE FRUIT OF THE TREES

There is a belief in Jewish tradition that trees are judged by God. A shadow of the Judgment Seat (Bema) of Christ.

Paul gives a picture of the Judgment Seat (Bema) of Christ. 2 Cor 5:10. The fruit of one’s works will be judged & rewarded. No judgment for sin here, Christ was judged & paid for ALL the believers sins on the cross. (Col 1:14 & Rom 4:7)

Christ is coming for his Bride/Church. Just like Pentecost, the time hasn't been fixed. Can you say, No one knows the day or hour (Matt 24:36). Soon very Soon!

Well if we were in any other forum I would say this should be moved to the BDF. But this is misc. forum so I guess this thread belongs here just as much as any other thread.
