So what are some bucket list things that you really want or wanted to do that other people don't really see the significance of?

After 6 years, I finally got to see Dead Meadow live. They were more amazing than I would have even hoped.

Honestly I have always wanted to see the world. I love to go new places, meet new and different kinds of people and cultures. however the sad reality is that you need money for that and I mean a ton of money. This world that our father created is amazing and beautiful and yet people who are rich and have loads of money would rather spend it on dumb things like the latest and greatest ferrari or a 10,000 dollar pair of pants or a mansion they never use and have it just have when they could be traveling the world taking in the breath taking sights and beauty that this world has to offer.

Sadly I am well aware I can never hope to see the world

I have always wanted to find the tail off an old windmill, and hang it on my wall. Somehow, I think it would be a good thing to do.

My wife thinks I'm nuts.

This guy has what I want.....

There is something i sometimes do wc irks my son. I would listen to a Christian radio by default while working on the pc at certain times of th day, and also turn on a music video on utube, at a lower volume. When the radio station has some teaching/talk show on, it does not matter to me, but when both play music, i would pause the radio. Sometimes son just asks mom to turn off one of them, whether the talking or the singing/music. Well thats one thing i really want to do, multitasking in a way, wc others here do not always appreciate. But i do need to, esp when needing to redeem time listening to a webinar, and wanting to hear background music as well=).

Blain, this world is amazing...I've seen some of it...not too much. Given an opportunity to see more...however briefly, I declined. We manipulate this world for our pleasure. I'll see true beauty without manipulation on the other side. That's just my take on it. Seeing a child smile over the Lord or someone accept Jesus and a tear roll down their face...that's the beauty... Love -student

I actually have been on a cruise to the caiman Islands once, even just staring at the ocean waves at night left me in awe and watching the sun rise in the middle of the ocean is like nothing you ever see that alone made me hungry for more.

I wanted to meet my Maker before my 60th birthday.

Guess we all know how that worked out.

I traveled the world while I was young enough to do it. Been to places as remote as Chuuk Lagoon and Bikini Atoll. Thru Europe and Israel twice (lol I just found an old picture of me being baptized in the Jordan River in 1990). Done the Holocaust tour and then some. Dove with sharks among WWII naval wrecks. Done things and gone places very few in this world get to do or go. Planes trains and automobiles (and ships!).

But like Blain said, it costs money. And children. Never could have done it if I'd had children. Kinda one reason why I wanted to meet my Maker before 60. Now I gotta figger out who's going to take care of me as I senile out ;)

Ya ya, I know, I'm already there

I would really like to take up my old hobby of medieval combat.
I really enjoyed sword fighting ( hand and a half and long sword) along with ax and shield .
It is a really cool way to let off stress . My wife an family just shake their heads.
It’s probably from the 14 plus broken ribs , several broken fingers and the 4 or so concussions .
LoL Over a 10 year period of course.
Blessings

It was fun Blain! A real adrenaline kick . Not out of a desire to hurt ,but just cool fun bro .
If you like that stuff their are grumps that do that stuff . The one I belonged to was called the Adrian Empire. They used real weapons. Another called the SCA is similar. The difference is the SCA uses wooden weapons wrapped in duct tape so they won’t hurt them selves lol . We used to call the SCA stick jocks lol .
The SCA is bigger an has chapters in many areas. You might find one nearby if you want to check it out .

We are comfortable. I don't have the overtime anymore. We would like to see more of this country. The Smithsonian is on the list.

I remember reading the book "Timeline" where some folks go back in time to the middle ages, and a guy gets involved in a sword fight... he noticed that it is extremely tiring, extremely quickly. He marveled at the guys back then that would go at it for 10-15 minutes, barely breaking a sweat, while after about 45 seconds of it, he was huffing and puffing...

I probably wouldn't survive, as bad out of shape as I am....:(

I DO think it would be fun to try, at least once. I'd have to do the wooden ones, though....

I went there with my dad, when I was about 8 or 9.... it was huge, then. I imagine you should plan for at least 2 days, if not 3, to see it all.

I think it would be more interesting than the British Museum... we went through part of that, and, while there were some amazing things there (Rosetta Stone, for example) it gets a little overwhelming .... "how many more Egyptian statues can we stand?" kind of thing.
