I can't be the only one on here, can I?

I've listened to talk radio since I was a kid
fiddling with my dad's SW set on camping trips.
Streaming and podcasts have mostly replaced
the actual radio for me, but I still enjoy listening.

List favorite talk-hosts, podcasts, and/or shows.
Past or present, active or retired, dead or alive.
Discuss specific episodes and provide links if you wish.

-Rush Limbaugh
-Dave Ramsey
-John Batchelor
-Todd Friel
-Neal Boortz
-G. Gordon Liddy
-Garrison Keillor
-The Late Great Paul Harvey
-The Late Great Jerry Doyle
-The Late Great Art Bell

I have more, but I want to hear from my AM-radio brethren and sistren.

A couple years ago (maybe more by now), a friend recommended a program she thought I'd enjoy listening to at w4cy, the Rabbi Daniel Lapin Show and I became a regular looking forward to every Thursday evening from the first listen in (he'd aired in the slot before Dave Ramsey's which was a late show so I didn't stay tuned afterward). What was most appealing about the show was the live chat available during airings. The regulars became part of what I looked forward to 'hearing' from, several intelligent and witty listeners, along with Rabbi's graciously noble attempt to keep up with the background conversation while delivering his material. Though it seemed to me very obvious that the scene didn't fit him, it wasn't long before he moved on at his friend Glenn Beck's invitation to offer podcasts at Soundcloud. Pity for me though, as that element was then missing that I could do with, I could tell by the clearing of his throat that he'd likely just read one of my more over the line comments, which reminded me very much of Colonel Hathi.

But, really, he's not that stuffy at all, just refined. I found this episode sampling one of the programs he had on his follow list, Pat & Stu: The Wife or the Dog. I'm won't link it here, though, as it contains a b-word, but it is funny (other than that)! Although not the same as live broadcasts, I do appreciate that podcasts do loop and so enable my drifting off while listening. like I used to do while dad listened to Marty Brennaman and Joe Nuxhall on Reds Radio.

Rush Limbaugh....king of talk radio. I've listened to him since the 80's. Found him by accident while eating lunch at work. My initial response to him was "who is this as****le?" After about the third or fourth time of hearing his show, I was hooked.

I used to listen to Mark Levin, but I have to be in the right mood to tolerate him lately, which doesn't happen frequently. I really enjoyed listening to Dave Ramsey, but have lost touch with his show, too.

Some local guys... Rick Roberts in the afternoon on the drive home. I used to enjoy Mark Davis, but he moved stations, and I lost touch.

I used to never miss Paul Harvey. What a class act.
