My daddy passed away yesterday. And I'm already filling out job stuff to look like at a job. Am I not giving myself enough time to grieve? I mean I may not get the job right away but.... My mom is the sole breadwinner now. I wanna help.

Follow your heart, Steph. I've noticed God doesn't like us using our "brains" very often. He seems to REALLY be interested in leading us with our hearts and the Holy Spirit.

If, in your heart, you are led to get a job to help your mom, do it! Our sweet Father in Heaven, watches over us and corrects any mistakes or wrong decisions of our hearts.

All is well with your dad. God has him and you, too! You are loved! :)

People grieve in different ways. Some people work through it better when they're busy. There isn't a "right answer" here. Go with what works for you.

Sweetie your not crazy besides you are doing it to help your mother it might even be God himself leading you to do so. I love you my dear and one day when we are being married your dad will be able to watch his little girl being married from the best seat in the house ♥

My rule of thumb is to return to work when I won't burst out blubbering when someone catches me off guide and says something like "sorry for your loss."

And, since your dad was employed, I suspect he had life insurance. At the absolute lowest amount, it ought to keep you and your mom going for three months. I also suspect a lot of what got you guys into a new home had everything to do with your mom and dad planning how life goes on after he was gone. They downsized so the finances weren't overwhelming for her when he was gone.

I'm not saying don't get a job. I fear you're worrying about it too soon.

I guess the weird thing is is that I’m not worrying about it exactly, but I just don’t want to focus too much on it if I do indeed need more time. I’m kind of a weirdo the biggest thing that I’m trying to do is just get life going but in a healthy way, to deal with the grief and everything in a healthy way most importantly.

I'm so sorry that your daddy has passed away. This whole ordeal has been so hard on you and the other family members. I am happy though that your daddy is no longer suffering but it is a lonely feeling getting left behind. That's how I felt when my dad died, all alone. I pray for God to comfort you. Of course you want to help and you will but maybe you should wait a month or so to allow yourself to decompress. Whatever you do God will be with you.

Hugs for you and your family on the loss of your Dad Steph. Sorry to hear your Dad passed. God is with you and it's o.k. to rest in Him and let Him comfort you. More hugs sent your way......

No, of course your're not... I hardly posted in ur threads, and in fact cannot read very much, but do have a mental list of people who need(ed) prayers. We join your family grieving at this time, and may not even have the 'right' words, but do hope the Lord be truly your comfort. With you, i am also thankful for this online family, which can help and support in other ways our own family and church family cannot always, but which you also help and encourage in your own way, thru your struggles and triumphs in daily life.

God bless, steph.

I'm wondering if I should open my patreon again as well. Since I have the need for funds again. Patreon is basically a site where people pay you monthly to make art.

It's a good thing to stay busy.

There is no right or wrong way to grieve. The sweet memories will get sweeter and the painful memories will ease but from these we draw strength and glorify Christ.

Be careful what information you give out on those online application forms. Good way to experience identity theft.

Ya babe I am desperate for a job too but I want to work at 7 11 I live right next to it I practically live there since I go so much and starting pay is 13 per hour for full time and 10.30 for part time. but to apply normally you have to go to the actual office which i have no ride for but they apparently do it online now so tried that today but I don't even think I went to the right site the first couple times and most of the applying is spammed with constant furthering your education things and i'm like LEAVE ME ALONE I JUST WANT A JOB. Ugh....

Greetings Artsiesteph,

Just FYI, providing your social security number and your credit score is the norm for applying for a job these days. Providing them has nothing to do with the mark of the beast. If anything, it is the use of the electronic crediting and debiting system (buying and selling) that we should be avoiding. For the swiping of cards and/or the use of cell phone bank apps., etc., are some of the forerunners to the mark, which will eventually replace them.

I will keep both you and Blain in prayer for the Lord to provide you with jobs.
