M
So what with working, caring for my aunt, washing, cleaning, cooking, making coffee,
gardening, toileting, changing bedding, fetching stuff, getting up in the middle of the
night to make drinks, reattach oxygen lines, waiting for visits from the
oxygen company, community matron, Respiritory nurse, local GP,
giving instructions to the carers.....
Im really finding it hard to spend quality time with God when I’m not too tired,
or simply in between all of the above.
So I decided to come up with this as a bit of motivation. The idea is to chill, draw,
read bits of bible, wrote a few bits down. Be flexible, just enjoy chilling with God.
It can be as detailed or not as I want it to be, as long or as brief as I want it to be,
no pressure.
Well we have little ted to peer over my shoulder and see what I'm up to. He is 18 by the
way I got him in the year 2000.
A tin of hard boiled sweets which will be regularly topped up!
A nice girly sparkling pen and pencil.
A jar of orange ginzing hand, body cream. I want to have nice memories
when using my shoe box of goodies and nice smells help with that.
A scented draw liner see above explanation.
A note book for writing down ideas and sketches.
A pack of small colour pencils.
A selection of sticky notes. For emphasing things.
My dream journal which I use anyway but thought I would put it in my shoe box.
A tin of multicoloured fine liner pens for writing drawing.
A wonderful little book I got ages ago but haven’t used for a long time, called
Stepping Stones to Freedom. It’s about rediscoving God and yourself in difficult
times. I can’t rememeber it all but I know it was a very good. It’s a 40 day
devotional.
Oh and the box itself has lots of positive things written on it.
I might also add a bar or chocolate!
Maybe if you need some space to chill with God, or want to rediscover God.
Or even just a few quiet moments during the stresses and strains of the day.
You could put your own little shoe box of goodies together.
Or maybe if you have a friend who is struggling you
could put one together for them.
Oh and I have no idea why the pictures are sideways.
