thread subscribtions

Why is it that when ever I reply to a thread, or start a thread I am automatically subscribed to it? I keep getting e mails saying that the thread I subscribed to had another posting by someone. But I never INTENTIONALLY subscribed to it. When I first came here and it started doing that it was okay. but now I keep having to go into my control panel and delete the subscribed threads. It's now driving me crazy!! Is CC trying to drive me away or what?!? I know there are places I'm not welcome or wanted; so if this is one of them all that you need to do is just tell me and I won't come here anymore

I personally like the fact that it automatically subscribes me to the thread. It is easier to keep up with the posts. All the emails I get about them go to my spam folder so I just delete them and they arent in my way. I'm sure there is a setting you can change to stop the emails and such.

go to control panel. then click 'edit options' on the left hand side. then under messaging and notification is the sub-thingy that says "Default Thread Subscription Mode" and with that you can pick to get emails or not to get emails and such!

I dont mind it getting those e-mails saying that someone posted because it lets me know that people are interested in what I have too say and its better then some of that other junk that I get on my e-mail that Im not interested in.

I shouldn't have started this thread, or at least not said that. I've been going thru a very rough time this past year and the stress was getting to me when I started this thread. I'm suprised that RoboOp hasn't banned me for being upset/stressed or something.
