Like someone said, Jesus has been supposed to be coming "soon" ever since He went back to heaven, so for all we know it could be another 2000 years before He comes. There has always been wars, persecution of people who believe, famine, natural disasters etc

but, as the bible says, we should ALWAYS be ready...

in Gods eyes a thousand years is like one day, and one day is like a thousand years. So tomorrow or two thousand years from now probably don't make much of a difference to Him

People have been predicting the end of the world for hundreds of years. I'm 60 year old and I remember how Christians go all excited about world events in the 60's then the 70's then the 80's. Focus more on your own growth and contributions than some delusion of End Times.
