Many people are going to hell playing video games. Even now they worship the dragon and will spend eternity with him in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone forever.

When you stand in front of a holy God, who is a righteous judge he will not ask you what your favorite game is. He doesn't care about your gamer tag or you achievements in video games. He will ask you what have you achieved in him? If nothing then, as straw is burned with fire, so will the works of that man.

Jesus Christ's words will judge every single person on that day, and many people will be on that fat road to hell. It is time to repent of sin and turn to Jesus and STOP PLAYING GAMES!!! Because the Game over you will meet when you stand before God is an eternal one, and there is no restart or try again. Reset your life now and start new, before it is GAME OVER!!!

I could see it being a problem if you did nothing but play games; however, if you serve the will of God, and play games every now and again when you don't have anything else to do-- I don't see any problem with it. Moderation is the key to most things: drinking, eating, sleeping, sex, video games, and ect.

Moderate sin is sin still. If you spend more time engaging in the lusts of the flesh then naturally you will not be spending time with God. We have to be focused on God all the time, and on his Christ, Jesus. No drunkard no glutton no sloth no whore and no one who plays games will enter the Kingdom of God. The Lord requires holiness and for his people to awake out of sleep. God is righteous and holy and perfect and he commands that his people be perfect.

There is plenty of evil in video games but sleeping Christians won't see it and they will be devoured along with the rest of the world. Be separated unto holiness and you will not be filled with the lusts of the flesh!!

Repent of Sin and follow Jesus, and anyone who follows Jesus is naturally hated.

I'm having some trouble understanding what you're saying here. Sure, wasting time is wasting time. And sin is sin. But are you saying people are going to hell because of their video games? That their place is dependent on their achievements?

People who are preoccupied with games cannot be occupied with Jesus. He will not ask us what we have done in our video games, he will ask us what have we done with his word. It is time to wake up and obey Jesus Christ.

God doesn't command you to destroy a computer. But he does command that we know his son Jesus Christ, and that we obey him and have a relationship with him, and that we are not lovers of this world. Many people are on a fat road to hell and unless they repent and follow Jesus they will not enter his kingdom.

Hmm, must had missed the versus in the bible that says people who play video games go to hell...are you being serious or are you trying to be a funny guy? Because the bible actually says "no drunkard no glutton no sloth no whore," but you completely added video games to that like it is actually part of the bible, and that in itself is a sin.

I believe we are missing Ramon's point. Playing video games is not a sin, in itself, but I believe the devil uses video games to numb our minds and hearts to sin, so that we become more likely to commit other sins. Many games are filled with violence and gratuitous sex. By implicitly accepting these things in our games, I believe we become more likely to accept them in the real world. Jesus said "What goes into someone’s mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth, that is what defiles them. ... But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them. For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. These are what defile a person;..." (Matthew 15:11,18-20)

He also said "A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of." (Luke 6:45)

You can't convince me that what we are exposed to in many video games is good for our "heart".

My friend, no sin is tolerated with God. No one who plays around with God will inherit the kingdom. No one who is lazy will seek his kingdom. There are many people going to hell playing video games, because they have switched out Jesus for their own pleasure. Yet, anyone who loves this worlds pleasure does not love God, whether games or prostitution, or drinking or laziness, or any form of sin. Only the people who are lead by God's Spirit are his children, and his children listen to him and not to their games. Anyone who doesn't know Jesus and who does not follow him is not worthy to live with him forever.

The only way to go to heaven is to take up your cross daily and follow Jesus. If your flesh is not crucified, even as violently as his was, then you will not share in the same glory. Every day we have to be crucified anew so that we will share in the same glory that Jesus did. No one who plays games with his commands will enter his kingdom. Repent and follow Jesus, daily!!!

Hi Ramon,

Whew! Your post goes a lot further than I would go, but I share some of your concerns re video games. What a waste - of time, money, and brain power. To the chronic game player I would caution: you can put your talents to better use.

We have to be prepared every moment of our lives, because no one knows when he will return. When he returns, what will he say about you? Will he say depart from me you worker of iniquity? Will he say, I never knew you? Satan, the god of this world has people pre-occupied with death, he has them entertained while they slip into hell. Jesus said that anyone who loves this life will loose it, but anyone who hates this life will gain eternal life. Live for Jesus Christ not for games.

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with playing video games. There comes a point where it can be sinful, of course, but to condemn someone to hell just because they play video games is out of line. Paul says in

Romans 8:1 Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
How can you run around and condemn people for spending time playing video games? I understand where you are coming from, but aren't you spending time in front of a screen as you read this?
