The only church that is sacred, holy, worthy, is the one that the Spirit of God dwells in. The temple is not holy but by the things that make it holy. Otherwise it is just brick and clay. God is holy and any altar or any tithe or any gift that has not been made sacred by a pure heart is not worthy and will not be received. A temple is defiled by the things in the temple. In the same way a temple is made holy by the things in the temple that are holy. If we are not holy we are not of the temple of His building.

In the same way, walls and altars do not make the house of God, but the house of God is of God, made by God, and is of the Spirit of God. And the Kingdom of God does not come with observation, but it is in those who know God, and are known of God.

To the above, I would add the following:

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (ESV)
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

and

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 (ESV)
Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple.
