Hey guys,
I hear that this book "Love Wins" by Rob Bell is causing quite a stir in the Christian world. I haven't read it yet but I did buy it. Anyone have any strong thoughts on it?

I haven’t read it, but I wouldn’t worry about it. The Bible is the only important book that I am aware of.

Just for some context, Here's a short description of the book:
Rob Bell addresses one of the most controversial issues of faith—the afterlife—arguing, would a loving God send people to eternal torment forever…? With searing insight, Bell puts hell on trial, and his message is decidedly hopeful—eternal life doesn’t start when we die; it starts right now. And ultimately, Love Wins.

And here the author talks about it:

How can a man give you insight into God? This book would be better burned. Jesus will teach us by his Holy Spirit. We don't need men to re-define the gospel of Jesus Christ. The insight of man is altogether worthless. May Jesus bless you and keep you.

I'm so with you on that.. I think it's good to read different interpretations of the Word.. Maybe others see something in it that we don't.. I'm a huge fan of Rob Bell.. I still haven't gotten past the first chapter of this book but I really like it so far.. I have thought these things myself before..

The Word should not be interpreted.

sounds more like a critique than an interpretation to me
