Okay I'm sure you've heard about this...man named Harold Camping says he has figured out that judgment day is about 2 weeks from now on may 21. 2011, cause he did some crazy math with “holy numbers” who are 5, 10 and 17. He multiplied them twice and got the number 722,500. And on 21 May, 2011 are exactly 722,500 days since the crucifixion of Christ, but he was crucified 1. April in year 33( I have no idea how he found out that date or why he thinks 5, 10 and 17 are more holy than other numbers)
I heard about this few weeks ago and didn't think much about it cause there are always some people who think they know when this will happen, but today I opened the newspaper and there it said in BIG letters “JUDGEMENT DAY IS ON MAY 21 2011” I admit I was shocked cause I didn't think people were believing this man and I wouldn't normally care but what pist me off was that it also said.. ”The Bible Prooves It !!” cause when nothing happens on the 21 then the people who dont belive in God and have never read the bible they may think “oh but didn't the bible say it would happen today, clearly we cant trust god or his book ”
But it says in the Bible “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, BUT THE FATHER matthew 24:36 so why would some random old man know?? he also thought this day would come 6 september 1994 but nothing happened:)

Hmm...I had not head this. Is this guy from your country? From the US?

Your right though, these sorts of things are being said often enough that I just do not pay attention anymore. (not that I ever did to begin with. :p )

Stupid man thinks he knows more than Jesus. The Son doesn't even know when He is returning; only the Father knows.

I'll be at a friend's wedding that day. That wouldn't be a bad day to take us up. "I now pronounce you husband and wife." *trumpets* *disappearance of couple and most people there*

Still.. it won't happen then just because a large group claims it will. Jesus will return like a "thief in the night."

I would like to see their faces with they are sitting in a field waiting for it to happen, and it doesn't.. and the old man has to explain himself. lol I've never heard the excuses before, only the warning that "the day is ____."

Thanks for the info.

I have never heard of Mr. Camping or Family Radio network before. (and all I listen to is christian music.)

Its such a shame that people who are saying they are born again christians, and state they believe the bible to be the inspired word of God...can completely again, and again ignore the scriptures that say that NO ONE will know the time nor the place.
