The courtroom is waiting, and the defendant comes in with his attorney. The man goes before the judge and BEGS him for mercy. He says, ''SORRY YOUR HONOR! I WILL NOT DO IT AGAIN I PROMISE, I PROMISE!! HAVE MERCY ON ME, A SINNER!!!''
The judge does not look the man in the face, he looks to his prosecutor and says, ''Has this man broken the law?'' And the man says, YES!!! He Has!!'' And very scrupulously looks at the defendant, and then back at the prosecutor. And he says, '' What is his penalty.'' And the prosecutor says, '' HIS PENALTY IS DEATH YOUR HONOR!!'' And the Judge once again looks at the defendant and says, ''Look at me.'' And the defendant slowly rises and looks at him with grief on his face. And the judge says, ''Your penalty is death!!!!''
The very soul of this man falls. He is gripped with the fear of death. The gavel of the law was hit, and there was no hope. No one to save him. IS THIS A MERCIFUL JUDGE? IS THERE MERCY? And the man made up in his mind, that he will see if he can appeal to the Judges mercy, and says, ''MASTER! YOUR HONOR! WILL YOU PLEASE SHOW MERCY ON ME!! I SAID I WILL NOT DO IT AGAIN!! I AM SORRY!! I KNOW I WAS WRONG!! HELP ME PLEASE!!
And the judge said, ''look at me.'' The man, full of fear looked at the judge. The Judge said, ''I have a Son, he will die in your place. I am willing to show you mercy, but the penalty for your crime is death. And you have made me very angry, and you have tempted me, but the law must be kept. So, in order to show you mercy, my Son will die in your place. LOOK WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO ME!! YOU HAVE KILLED MY SON!!!''
The man felt the weight of his crime pounding him like a hammer. He said, ''YES LORD!! YES LORD!! I HAVE DONE IT! I WILL NOT DO IT AGAIN I PROMISE!!
The Judge says, ''Indeed, because you have humbled yourself, your trespasses are blotted out and stricken from the record. Today, because my son has taken your punishment, you are free to go, and this will not be on your record.''
The man walks away with such shame on his face, as he watches the Son of the judge lead to the electric chair to die in his place.
The Judge calls to him and says, ''LOOK AT ME!!'' The man looks. And the judge says, ''Today I have blotted out your trespasses and stricken them from the record book, but IF IF FIND INIQUITY IN YOU AGAIN! I WILL SURELY PUNISH YOU! IF YOU COMMIT THIS TRESPASS AGAIN, I WILL SURELY PUNISH YOU!!! BECAUSE YOU WILL HAVE KILLED MY SON OVER AGAIN, AND YOU WILL REMIND ME HIS DEATH, AND IF I LOOK AT YOU AND I DON'T SEE HIS BLOOD, THEN I WILL SURELY CAST YOU INTO THE GRAVE!!
That day that man learned a very life long lesson. And this man is ever indebted to the Judge because of such mercy. He lives his days in the fear of the Lord, loving everyone he can, doing anything to help anyone. He fears the judge, and so he does not let anything get in his way of treating people well. He fears the judge, and hates to do sin, because it will put him before the judge again. And if he has anything against anyone he QUICKLY apologizes because he knows how these things can grow. HE FEARS THE JUDGE SO HE LOVES FERVENTLY!!

Surely you thought you had one this case, but now, because of your ignorance and your evil heart, to see my friend thrown into the grave, you will be thrown in. Because you did not show mercy, as you should have, I will not hold you guiltless. You are responsible for the blood of my saints. But the blood of my Son was shed for their salvation. You persecuted them night and day to no end. You sought to devour them. Now both you and your servants will be thrown into the lake of fire along with all others who do not humble themselves before me. Go away from my presence forever!!!
