Donald Trump, Paula White Rallying Christian Support

Pastor Paula White and Donald Trump are teaming up to host a private meeting with Christian leaders in New York this week.

The Thursday meeting has been billed as a "time of dialogue & leadership with Mr. Trump," who is seriously considering a run for the presidency in the 2012 election.

Details of the meeting could not be confirmed. Multiple calls to Paula White Ministries:rolleyes: were not returned.

One of the invitees, however, to the meeting is Brian McLaren:rolleyes:, a popular Christian author who is considered part of the controversial emerging church camp.

McClaren posted the invitation he received on his blog last week. It reads: "Pastor Paula along with Mr. Donald Trump would like to extend a special invitation to Brian McLaren for a time of dialogue & leadership meeting with Mr. Trump. This private meeting will take place on Thursday, May 12th, 5:30pm at Trump Tower in NYC."

The author – surprised by both the invitation and the meeting itself – declined the invite "due to cost of travel" and has thus not confirmed details such as attendees or topics that will be discussed. But he predicts the meeting is an attempt by Trump to reach out to Christians before his expected announcement in June on whether he'll launch a presidential bid as a Republican.

It seems to me I always have to vote for the least of the evils, rather than the best person on the ballot.

Only way I'd vote for Trump is if he has Arnold Schwarztnegger run as vice president. Yeah I'd contribute to that.

I think we should just abolish the office of president and just have a supercomputer or child prodigy like that kid who is 12 and is taking advanced astrophysics in a university and wants to mathematically prove that the theory of evolution is not possible make decisions for the country instead.

Is that because he wants to mathematically prove that the theory of evolution is impossible ? Or because he's really smart ?

2 reasons why a computer should NEVER run a country:

President John Henry Eden: Known for his plot for massive genocide after the nuclear holocaust in Fallout 3, a plan that while totally evil was easily rationalized by a computer programed to do "what's best" for humanity.

And

Hal 9000: Slaughtered his crew, again rationalizing that it was "what was best" for the mission. Only perk he comes with is he sings a merry tune as you kill him. Daisy daaaaiiiisyyyy... givemeyourrasnwerrrr...

If we could get computers to understand "evil" then maybe I'd welcome them as our new overlords...

But those are fictional computers. A young student just used a supercomputer fpr his science project and came up with a possible and very promising new drug combination for cystic fibrosis using computer models for the drugs and the protein which causes the disease (which is incurable and deadly). Actual lab tests proved that the result was better than the computer model predicted. It was on yahoo news (or AOL) today. Thats what inspired me to nominate a supercomputer :)

To run a country though a supercomputer would have to be self aware. And if it was designed to operate to the basis of what was best for humanity. It would remove all religion, it would take control of every single action of every single person to protect them. Because thats what would make sense to it, it was designed to do what was best so it will even if that means destroying liberties rights and freedoms.

Yeah computers operate purely on logic. They can't see shades of gray or make decisions based on morality. To have one in charge would be a very bad idea. Yeah those computers may have been fictitious in that they were never actually built, but the ideas that went behind them was very real and pretty much right on the dot.
