Good people don't make it to heaven, only those who have been shown mercy do. When God looks at men, he does not see good. He sees corruption, and evil at every turn. He has tried us, and he has found no one good, no one righteous. And on the head of every man, he saw the penalty of death. NO! GOOD PEOPLE DON'T MAKE IT TO HEAVEN!!

There are many people who are guilty of death, even now, though they feed the poor, and do so many nice things. But they are full of sin and evil, and will not make it. Jesus Christ didn't come to call the righteous to repentance but the sinners. But were the priest righteous? Then why did they kill Jesus? Hypocrites! Here is the case:

Three glasses. One dirty on the outside and the inside. One dirty on the inside only, and one dirty on the outside only. Which of these is good for drinking?

I tell you this, the one that is clean on the inside is the one good for drinking, though the outside may be dirty. This is why Jesus said:

Matt 23:25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
Matt 23:26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.
Matt 23:27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.

So then, who is saved? When the Lord God looks at us on judgement day, he will not look for our deeds. He will look for the blood of his Son Jesus Christ, because only his son was righteous enough to wash away our filth. Without the blood, you will die. Surely. A murder who has killed someone, who think he got away with it, and then later on, maybe years down the road begins to do good things to make up for it will not be held guiltless if he is found out. Time doesn't forgive sin. But Jesus does. And he will save you from the judgement if you acknowledge that HE HAS ALREADY taken up the tab for you. But if you don't you will take up your own tab, ETERNAL DEATH.

So repent and go to Jesus. Your deeds will not save you. They will burn in the fire. I will show you again who is justified and who is not:

38 ¶And he said unto them in his doctrine, Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces,
39 And the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost rooms at feasts:
40 Which devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater damnation.
41 ¶And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.
42 And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.
43 And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:
44 For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.
Mark 12

10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
Luke 18

May Jesus bless you.

I believe the Lord set things up so that we “go” to heaven when we repent of our sin:

From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Matt 4:17 RSV
In other words, all our problems disappear when we repent of our sin.

Resurrection: Not true

God can still put us thorough long periods of trial to test us even if we repent

I think the difference of people who have the Holy Spirit living inside them and those who have not known this Grace is that they have LOVE eternally inside their hearts. Love not only for themselves but for the WHOLE world and when that happens they get convicted of their sins when they hurt other people and creatures that God loves as well. they know and repent of sins they commit to other people. without the Holy Spirit people would not recognize the many thousands of sins they do and the things they leave undone every day. That is why daily prayer and meditation of God's Word is needed, because it shows you how you fall short of the Glory of God but the Holy Spirit comforts and reassures you that GOD has made you and you ARE Wondefully made. so you have the ability to overcome all the things in you life keeping you from being PERFECT as GOD in Heaven is perfect.

Psalm 18:31-33 (New King James Version)
31 For who is God, except the LORD?
And who is a rock, except our God?
32 It is God who arms me with strength,
And makes my way perfect.
33 He makes my feet like the feet of deer,
And sets me on my high places.

One does not simply walk into heaven...
I don’t believe heaven is a place. (I think the resurrection is a place.) I think heaven is your spiritual condition after you repent of your sin:

From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Matt 4:17 RSV

You might be talking about the kingdom of heaven.

There are no good people, just ones who arent evil. Humans are incapable of goodness. I have officially decided that and man its depressing :/

Huh? Got it half right. Humans are indeed incapable of goodness. And God decided that before you, even in the beginning. Perhaps now you see why we need mercy. Perhaps. That is where Jesus comes into play. However, if we are not good then we are inherently evil. So in order to be saved we need mercy. I am telling you the truth, Jesus Christ died, taking the wrath of God on himself so that, by his sacrifice we could have peace with God. But if we don't take that sacrifice as the one for us, then we will perish.

It is like how the government sends troops over to other countries to fight a war we cannot fight on our own. Now what would happen if there was no defense? Our enemies would run us over. And even now you see people who complain about the army. Men cannot establish peace. Jesus Christ is our peace because HE fought the battle of death. Without his defense you will end up in hell. So even as soldiers are living sacrifices for the wealth of the country, so was Jesus Christ a living sacrifice, holy, and acceptable with God. His blood for our life.

May Jesus bless you.
