The stronger your moral standards are, the less of a hook a manipulator can sink into you. If your moral standards are nicey nicey, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone and check your brain at the door moral standards you don't need to get pulled in because they already have you.

Now if your one of those Bible thumping people who believe that the Word of God really is the Word of God, it isn't very likely your going to listen to some Tom, Dick or Marry.

That is all.

Thank you.

I know someone who was taken in, however she did become a Bible believing Christian and the manipulator who had 10 other women and got the other 9 to do unspeakable things but she didn't get too hooked considering what it could have been like because she wasn't stupid and unprepared like the rest of them.

Ephesians 6:14 *Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 *And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 *Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 *And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

your post is confusing, several of your sentences are not formed correctly.

are you saying you do not have compassion for those women and opposite sex who may be weaker than you, and need your help and strength as a man?

or like most of us you just pick and choose, because you only have so much to go around

with a leader and accountability a marriage, household, person, man, woman, becomes stronger and better and more of God's design rather than life and the bad things out here always tearing them apart

This other person I prayed about that I didn't know was cutting herself and she was in her 20s and she was very overweight and lied to everyone. Her finance was going to cut off there relationship because of her lying, she was in a hospital to get help.

My thoughts on this is that she likely was very hurt by someone in the past and hid behind the lies, I used to hide behind a bottle, I used to drink so much I sweat-ed alcohol. Some people can come out from under a lie or addiction instantly and other people need to go a little slower.

Pain causes people to do all kinds of things, one of my friends at my church used to hurt himself and he told me it gave him pleasure, It masked other kinds of pain that were even greater. I think some things the only way to understand them is to go through them yourself. Me and that guy have one thing in common, we both got a hold of the truth.

My moral standards fluctuate dependent on what is most beneficial to myself.

If you don't stand for something, you will fall for everything.
