The Holy Spirit showed up in a Methodist Church. I am beginning to see the character of Christ more and more and more. I don't yet have the full revelation of why he was treated the way he was, simply for doing good, other than the people being filled with Satan. That is all I can understand about why he was killed, so far.
I mean, really? I went to a little church today, coming from a background of non-denominational churches. But I am glad Jesus saved me from these sects. I am glad he showed me the truth of who he is. Yes! The Holy Spirit showed up in a Methodist Church!!
The reason I say it like this is because I have seen the error of that way, to believe that one denomination has more revelation of Jesus than another, or that one is more right and another is wrong. I would say the issue is in each individuals heart, and the hypocrisy that follows. I am glad for one thing, the Lord fought against those old religious thoughts and I was able to be ministered to from someone today.
I can never again look at a denomination as a group of people who believe the same thing, because even in Christian churches, not everyone believes the same thing about every issue. But, however there are some foundations. The main foundation is this:
Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind and soul, and your neighbor as yourself.
If I walk into any church and I don't see this, I see hypocrisy and every evil work. The rebuke of Jesus is gentle, peaceable, easily entreated, not boastful or vanglorious, not prideful or arrogant. We have yet to come to the full knowledge of the Truth. Really.
These people displayed the Love of Jesus Christ more than any other place I had been. Of course you have a mix in there, but I am sure some people are true in spirit. The scale of the ministry of Jesus Christ is not limited to YOUR church. Because THE Church is not YOURS!! It is the Lord's and used for his own good.
And the Holy Spirit confirmed what he had already been showing me. How wonderful is the Lord!!!
