My friend and I were having a conversation late last night about being adults. And yes at times, we wish were kids and care free again. However?

The Bible talks about choosing JOY in every circumstance. And so we have challenged ourselves to look at everything with Joy and gratefulness whether we want to or not for two weeks and see if it improves our attitude.

Because looking at the glass half empty is kinda getting old we figure. :)

Anyone else want to join our little challenge?

And the attached picture is just for fun.

In looking at the glass half full we only rob ourselves of joy and happiness. People who see things in the light or the glass half full are much more likely to live more fulfilling lives and maintain a positive attitude no matter what curveballs life throws at them. I tend to find the 'half empty' kind of people a real drag to be around myself...As far as the challenge goes, I challenge you to make this a lifelong commitment and not just a two week deal. :D

I have ADD, I'm surprised I still know what glass we are talking about...ohhhh shiny....

;)

I have to take things one step at time. Hour by hour, day by day. And I don't mean that as I don't want to look it at as a life long thing. But some of us really struggle hour by hour with things sometimes, looking at things 30 years down the road just isn't going to happen.

I see what you are saying, I live moment by moment also. Every day is a new day, just look at it in the present tense. If you commit to it today, one day at a time, it will still add up to a commitment for the rest of your life :)
