Much to be Thankfor for...
I have decided to go SomeWheRe tomorrow, rather than sit at home alone on Independence Day.
It's certainly better than feeling lonely all alone, and sorry for myself!
I'm taking my little Companion Doggie to watch the 4th of July Parade in the morning.
When we return I'm going to have a BBQ Picnic outside on my covered patio... Steak and Ribs with all the sides... Baked Beans, Macaroni Salad, Potato Salad, Potatoe Chips & Ginger Ale (ALL of which I normally never buy or eat, except for maybe the beans!) I'll also have a Fresh Fruit and a Vegie Tray.
We'll eat, watch old movies, relax, eat some more, than take a good nap on the Ole porch swing.
In the evening we'll go to the park to watch our very first fireworks show together. Thankfully I have a very calm and trusting doggie, who, as long as she is in the safety of mama's lap isn't afraid of anything! (Hopefully she will be ok with the fireworks).
Then we'll come back home, being Thankful and Praising God that we have a Home Sweet Home to come back to!
We have so much to be Thankful for... having a Merciful, Just, Loving, and Forgiving God; for our Service Men and Women who have sacrificed everything for our Country, Freedom, and Democracy; none of which is "Free" or comes easily.
I'm Thankful to be alive, to have a roof over my head, good food to fill my belly, a warm and comfortable bed to rest in, my Companion Dog... for Toilet Paper, the fresh scent of a Pine-Sol clean home, dishwashers, warm showers, gifted with Creativity, the smell and feel of fresh crisp bed sheets, two bathrooms, two bedrooms (1 is my TV room), remote controls, Listerine, Tylenol and Aspirin, bar soap without the Lye, electricity, bottled water, running water, the Internet, and a halfway decent computer to surf it, for Zionists and Old-Fashioned Fundamentalist Christians who stand on the unchanging Word of God refuse to compromise their faith!
HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!!
