Are you prepared to be a fool? I pray the Lord prepare me to be a fool. Many wise people are perishing, but many foolish people are being saved.
We have to put off the cares of this world for Jesus Christ. We have to give up the glamour of this wicked world. We have to PUT ON Jesus Christ. Think of it. We have to put him on, in every sense of putting on. I've cared too much about what people might say or do. Now I see my body must become a living sacrifice, HOLY AND ACCEPTABLE!!
Yes, I have to be prepared to be a fool. If I presume myself wise, I might truly be a fool. But I am prepared to become a fool for faith in Jesus Christ. Why would a general send a soldier out to battle without training him first? Or how would he go out without the proper weapons? Or how would he go out without a plan. Or what if he cannot endure? What if storms prevent his steps? The Lord Jesus is well equipping the saints for the times coming. Yes!!
The people who you thought were your friends will turn on you. You will be absolutely hated for Jesus's names sake, even for righteousness sake. And why? Well, because the world loves unrighteousness. Yes, your flesh must indeed die, so that eternal life can enter in. But God will never forsake you my friend. He will never leave you. Seek for His glory and his glory alone.
At any time Jesus could have saved his own life, but he would have lost it. And we would be lost forever in our sin. Yet for love he died for us to show us the end of the perfection of love. And the end of that perfection was the giving of his own life. How man Christians are ready for this? Good words will not matter then. I tell you the truth. Doctrines will not matter then. We will see clearly who is for Jesus, and who is for this world. Then will many fall away and become idle. They will desire this world and the cares of this world. And a flood of evil will offend them in their hearts. They will excuse themselves, thinking that this is good and true. But it will be deception, and all because they refused the love of the Truth which is Jesus Christ!!!
MAY THE LORD JESUS CHRIST PREPARE US TO BE FOOLS FOR HIS NAME'S SAKE. MAY HE EQUIP US WITH THE LOVE THAT CAST OUT ALL FEAR. MAY HE PUT HIS SEAL OF SALVATION IN US. MAY HE KEEP US FROM ALL SIN AND TEMPTATION AND EVIL. MAY HIS NAME BE BLESSED FOREVER AND EVER. MAY HE ESTABLISH US IN HIS WAYS AND IN HIS LIGHT AS LIGHT IN A DARK AND DARKENING WORLD. MAY HE CHASTISE US FOR OUR PERFECTION. JESUS CHRIST IS LORD, AND HE IS THE SAVIOR OF THE WORLD TO THEM THAT WILL SIMPLY BELIEVE HIM!!!
