I doubt anyone hasn't heard it yet, but in case they haven't, Amy Winehouse was found dead today. She was a talented singer but unfortunately struggled with a nasty addiction to drugs which ultimately took a toll on her. I know a lot of people have been judging her since reports of her substance abuse first became public a few years ago, and even now some people are making fun of the situation since they all knew it was only a matter of time. Still, a life is a life, and a death like this is a tragic thing. While I don't condone the lifestyle she chose, I do find it sad that she's no longer among the living and that she never found healing or overcame her addictions before her time was up, and I can't imagine what her family must be going through.

I was wonder what other people's thoughts were on the situation if they had any?

May Jesus bless you vikkikate. I was torn up when Michael Jackson died.

Honestly, when a celebrity dies, it hits me hard. I say, ''Lord! They had it all!'' It hurts me, because of the same reason David mourned when Saul and Jonathan died.

I don't like the attitude some people have posted to this. I don't like the attitude of, ''Oh well, she should have been saved.'' As you said. A life is a life. A soul is a soul. I pray that many celebrities will come to Jesus Christ before it is too late.

They have it all!! Or do they?

Our lives can leave us my friend. Just like that!! When I see a person who has had all the glory of the world just go like that, it makes me feel all the more weak. For all the glory of men in the world, everyone can be here today, and gone tomorrow.

We are not speaking on the plain of the world. We are speaking about eternal things. IF I COULD CRY FOR A MILLION YEARS, I COULD NOT SHED ENOUGH TEARS OF FOR ALL THE LOST SOULS!!!

May Jesus bless and keep you my friend.

Yeah I was pretty sad when Michael Jackson died too, and A LOT of people hated him for a crime they only think he did but no one knows for sure so they have no right to make that decision unless if they were there and saw it with their own two eyes. I just hate when anyone dies with any personal background that's less than perfect and people immediately start trashing them after death or even while they're dying, and then say just cold things like, "Well we all saw this coming." Some people just have no respect for the sacredness of human life.

It is a difficult and wrong industry to be in. Music, Entertainment and Sports are cults, BAAL
Worship. We see so many suffer because of the pressures they are under. If you
understand rehabilitation in the Secular OR Spiritual sense, you understand that most times
the first thing that needs to be done is to separate from the associations (weeds, in the
parable of the sower) of this world. It is not just the alcohol or drugs that one must
overcome, but the root spirits/demons themselves - Pride, Envy, Gluttony, Sloth -- Lust,
Avarice, Wrath. These spirits are not only personal, but societal, particularly within a group
or clique.

All we can do to start is to call them out of the worldly and back into the spiritual.
Jesus died
so that some would see the call to repentance as deadly serious. Let us continue to teach
Jesus -- The WAY, and pray for those caught up in this material and fleshly world.

Not to say that her death isn't a tragedy, but it really irks me that the news has been all over this, people too, but just skimming over the massacre in Norway.

Most of the weeds are in the church and end up speaking the way you have above. No matter who, they are people, and souls. If we could get past the doctrines that prevent ministering to the lost, maybe we could see some change.

Most of the cults are in the churches. The people of this world are blind, simply that. But we should know that Jesus can undo that. But how much more terrible is it when people who should be able to see are also blind? It ends up that the blind lead the blind, and they both fall into a ditch.

Souls are souls. Let's reach them for Jesus, rather than trash them with superficial righteous jargon.

May Jesus bless you.

Friends,

While I am saddened by the death of any human being, and especially one so young, I can't help but feel that Amy Winehouse's lifestyle was a matter of informed choice. I even seem to recall stories about her, that she valued the "shock" factor of her lifestyle. I am sure that she was exposed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and I can't come to any conclusion other than the fact that she rejected it out of hand. The worst part was that she held herself up as a poster child for that kind of life; drawing who knows how many other impressionable young people into it.

Ramon is right. And I am going to be even harsher. I say good riddance to bad rubbish!

No mater what choice she made thats not how God viiews her dmdave, we al have our own demons what we deal with even tthough not the same as her, i work with street girls who have drug addictions, some whove died because of their lifestyle , never never would i even think that, whatever choice she made , i just feel extriemly sad that she didnt want the help she so desperatly needed and couldnt get rid of her demons long enough to keep with the rehab..

Have some respect that her friends and family didnt see her that way and must be grieving immensely.

Bad choices or not she was still a human being! I refuse to take joy in the death of a human being, no matter how bad the choices were that they made. I'd rather see them find healing and recovery rather than be happy from seeing them die for their bad choices.

It is very sad....another lost life :( We may not know these people but they are people too..and they have a lot of influence to the world. We should pray for them because even them struggle with the same stuff as we do....I was so touched when Michael Jackson died and it was the first time I actually realized they are like us..

I would have made a post on that but someone beat me to it lol. I do agree though, it's kinda sad that celebrities always take priority over horrifying tragedies like that.

Romans 1:28-32

"And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper, 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, 30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31 without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful; 32 and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them."

All this made me think of that verse. Of course we don't know what really happened between Amy Winehouse and God, but it looks to me like He gave her over to her sin.

It's sad as it is with anyone who rejects the Lord. If any are unsympathetic, I think that's understandable. She was celebrated (a celebrity), but did little worth celebrating. She wasn't a good example. Her story could've ended one of two ways: she accepts God and turns it all around or she dies of an overdose.

I dont usually take things personal, but just in case that statement was meant for me among others:

Please note that though i quoted the song, I was expressing sadness that she did not accept help
and that my final statement is God does not take pleasure in death of the lost.

We often misinterpret the things we read, so just in case thats what happened here......a little clarity
....Peace
