Can a demon manifest thru a Christian?

Hi Everyone

Im new to the forum, seem's like a awesome place, hope to be come part of the comunity of God.

I have a bit of a different question, i recently got saved so am very new to all this.

I got invited to a friends church service on Wednesday, now this ministry does deliverance, so after the service they pray for people. I have read up on deliverance and am ok up to that point, what happened there after im not 100% comfortable with is while they were praying for someone a demon manifestd in one of the pastors and spoke thru him. I found that very odd and questioned them and they replied saying that is is scriptural that Jesus can use a dmeon to talk thru a believer.

He says that sometimes the demon of the person they praying for speaks thru him, that is very weird to me, but i dont want to judge him, i just dont want to get involved in weird things.

He also added that he does not remember what happens when they speak thru him.

I have never heard of that... Hmm I don't mean to judge but it sounds a little strange to me. Maybe he was trying to explain speaking in tongues?? Just a guess. I have never personally spoken in tongues I don't fully understand it, and am unsure if I believe in it, so it's just my opinion. I could be totally wrong

Ok so me being sceptical was not wrong. Whats so weird is the preach abou thw word of God. They claim to cast our demons from people. why would they do all this if they were part of a ocult ?

Maybe they need their water checked out?? Sorry I am not trying to be mean. But it is very strange from my perspective

It was not in tongues, it was def something else.
On the subject of tongues i recently got bless with that, so i beleive 100% in that

Ya very weird, there is some weird things out there, suppose we wont understand them all. So i guess i should stay away from there cause seems its not safe

Would you mind explaining speaking in tongues to me? I was at a prayer meeting tonight and people were speaking in what I assumed was Latin but I am not completely sure. What's it like

Hm I am not sure if I was Latin though. One guy seemed to be having a conversation while a girl just said the same two words over and over again. Oh well I guess I might have to expierence it for myself

I went up for a altar call for people wanting to get baptized in the Holy Spirit, they started praying for us and next minute i felt this overwhelming sensation in my body, i started hearing everyone else starting to speak in tongues and next minute i just started forming words, its something your mind cant understand, i can know say a few words. Its like learning a new language now i need to practise it.

I don't know that I could speak in tongues I am horrible with language I can barely speak English oh well I leave it up to God

its not something you use your mind to do, so just Trust in God

the answer to that is a big YES !! demons can do alot of things and manifesting through animals or christians dosnt make a difference .
one of the things they cant do is understand speaking in tongues thats our secret wepon .

Even the apostle Peter and Paul fall into sin, but Jesus speaks for our souls and saves us even now. but the church is wrong, they are to rebuke demons not worship them

No.. I believe not, because we have the Holy Spirit in us and they fear the Lord. If they were able to then they can try to stop us from receiving our salvation by possession and wont need to push us. Yes they can try to convince but if they were to posses then they would have total access to our lives, Jesus Christ is the one who controls our lives and leads us to the truth,,, so i doubt that a demon can posses us as Christians.
