Be HOLY, as God is holy. Be RIGHTEOUS, as God is righteous.
And no man can be righteous by his own righteousness. But the righteousness of Christ living in us becomes our righteousness.
But could a man say, ''Since Christ is righteous, I don't need to be righteous?'' NO!!!! If Christ is in you, no iniquity should be in you.'' Have you known what that grace is? I am sure the issues are that some have never known that grace and have assumed they are righteous by the standards of their own righteousness. But this righteousness will not save them.
Without Righteousness/Holiness, NO ONE WILL SEE GOD! You cannot enter the kingdom without it!!
Jesus Christ took on death so that he might again overcome death in us, resurrecting us into a new creature. I do not say that this flesh is already put off, because then we would not still be in the world. But I am saying this new creature is put INSIDE OF YOU, which is a mark of the resurrection IN YOU. It is a mark of the Spirit. A witness of the Spirit. If this witness is in you, then you have the resurrection of life in you. But if this witness is not in you, you have a resurrection to death in you.
So be blameless, and without reproach among men and God. God will smile on you because of this, if you labor in love for one another, and in patience and in love preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to the poor, and to widows, and to the needy. And this gospel is wrought in love. THIS GOSPEL ALONE, is the gospel of peace, dismantling the enmity set up between the seed.
And for THIS GOSPEL's sake, you are hated. Because the carnal flesh is hostile against the Lord. So this gospel is foolishness. But to you, and for you, it is eternal life, to them that are exercised by it.
