Lounging Christians will be amazed!!!
They will look up and see that they have missed the Lord!!! They will look up and they will find that they have been in the dark. Unprofitable servants. They will want some excuse to plead their righteousness, but the Lord will say, ''You wicked and slothful servant!''
Yes, there will be many fearful people on the day of Judgement. There will be many strange looks. Death will take hold on the souls that have lounged around in this life.
Indeed, lounging Christians will not enter heaven. They have no place there. Lounging Christians want good times, but they don't want holiness and righteousness. Holiness is for tomorrow for them. But for many, tomorrow never comes. Before they know it, like the wind that comes and goes, so is their life. And no one remembers them for long. Life goes on as a soul slips into hell.
For them, this life is a playground to fulfill their lusts, and have their good times. But their time will run out. Their time will fade into the dust as it does with all men. Great men have had the world in their hands, but now their hands have returned to the dust of the earth.
How much is your soul worth? Sure, tomorrow you say, but tomorrow is not promised to you. Sure, maybe righteousness is for old people, you might say, but it is for anyone that will be saved. And will you?
Old memories, and old times, and good days, and pleasures, and lusts, will all cease. Everyone has to answer for what they did. You will have no excuse when your play time is over. You will have to answer for it. Will you repent and stop lounging around?
Perhaps you will. Maybe you won't. I pray you will, because the days are coming to and end. And Only Jesus Christ can keep us through the night.
