Video Games are good because they are of lower entropy then surrounding matter, but the implications of owning them/playing them can have some down sides. It can be argued that better things to do with your time would be spend being active in the sunlight like biking, hiking, running, walking a dog, playing Frisbee at the park (which I'm happy to say is something I did a couple hours ago). Also vid games can become an obsession that takes time away from responsibilities and things that simply matter more ie: spending time with a family. Plus reading will make you smarter, or you could pray or have a Bible study, or do something for your community instead. Like have a cookout with your neighbors where you can spread the gospel and God's love and forgiveness! Basically video games should be a very small part of our life. Spending too much time playing on electronics instead of making and keeping friends has begun to rob our culture of social interaction. People are becoming hermits and socially inept as a result of technologies that are advertized as getting us closer together, when really it's separating us from experiencing each other in a real way. Tragic...

Video games can be a good source of entertainment and even some of them can be educational. Some people can be obsessive but it's their lives to choose how they waste it. Sure, games can increase antisocial behavior but you can also invite friends over to play games and improve relations.

I play some video games, but that's only because there's little else to do anymore because we've become an indoor culture. That's why we're fat in the US, that and terrible diet.

Some video games are definitely detrimental...they desensitize people to things which should be considered wrong. But not all are bad. I am very careful when examining video games to see if they promote sinful/corrupt things. (violence, gore, witchcraft, rape, etc). Then you need to take into consideration how much time you spend on them. They can be a hobby but not something that consumes you for several hours every single day.

Video games are harmless. Not going to argue with anyone about it because in the end we'll both still think we're right and the other's crazy, that's simply my stance on it.

I used to think they were good, and enjoyed them. Still get enticed. I, however, have realized that they serve only to distract us from God.
