"I was wrong" or "I need advice" are difficult phrases to utter because they require humility. Pride is an ingredient in every quarrel. It stirs up conflict and divides people. Humility, by contrast, heals. Guard against pride. If you find yourself constantly arguing, examine your life for pride. Be open to the advice of others, ask for help when you need it, and be willing to admit your mistakes.

Pride leads to conflict; those who take advice are wise (Proverbs 13:10).

That is quite amazing Rachel. It was because of Prided that Satan was cast from heaven. And it was because of pride that Adam and Eve were put out of the Garden of Eden. And it is because of pride that many people today speak out against God.

They say that it is the most primal of all sins. As it is said Pride cometh before the fall.

Yes Ramon, I'm totally agree with you! .... because of pride most of the people reject God.. Behind most of the sins, there're pride.

"Pride brings a person low, but the lowly in spirit gain honor." (Proverbs 29:23) Probably one of the most frequent "traps" laid by the devil to snare otherwise strong believers. Remember the ending to the movie, "Devil's Advocate"?
