Jesus Christ came to earth to humble himself and serve others.
Though He was God He was also completely human, and so He still went under
all of the human emotions but without sin. He understood sorrow, pain,
hunger, thirst, but also understood joy, hope, and victory. Jesus came to switch
places with us and to show us that He understands us. He became one of us
and replaced our place at the cross, His sacrifice was sufficient for all.
It is so marvelously great that God would've done that for us, to come and
share our sorrows and limitations. In the old testament we can see that the Father
also goes through feelings such as sorrow, anger, joy, and many of the feelings
us humans have but without sin.
Jesus Christ was able to endure the cross and endure
all of the suffering and sorrow and grief that He went through when He was here on
earth because He had the right perspective. Being God Himself He knew that He would
be rejected, He knew He would be scourged and crucified, but He also knew that He would
raise from the dead and be victorious over death because He is the beginning and the end.
He knew this even before He created anything. He had the right perspective, He had a look
into the future. And thanks to His sacrifice we also have a look into the future. We can be sure
that if we are walking with Christ that our destiny is to be with Him forever. And though
we are human just like He is, and we suffer and go through bad times just like He did, we still
have victory over it all.
Even Jesus wept and He is God, we will weep also, and we will be betrayed.
But even though all of this adversity comes to us and though sometimes we get caught up in our own
finite mind and think over and over about things that are really not going to help us, we can acquire
perspective through the word of God. In it there is deliverance from anxiety, depression, doubt,
confusion, anger, and about every single aspect of humanity that destroys, but more importantly
there is deliverance from death.
It is quite a cold fact that we do not take anything with us when
we leave our bodies, when we leave this realm. The fact is the only thing that will take us to the
Father is the blood of Christ, and the only things that we will take with us is what we did for Christ.
And to do something for Christ you must have the right perspective that only comes from the word.
It is a blessing both in this life and in the next to have the right perspective. We no longer live
to stay here, the Holy Spirit has traded places with us. If you believe in Christ your soul is with
Him in heaven. He is ready to take you whenever your time has to come. While you stay here, remember
always that you have conquered death through Jesus and that your troubles are so diminute compared
to the eternity in which you will be with God.
Put on Christ, put on His armor, put on His word, put on
His spirit, and you will find peace that is beyond all understanding.
