Has anyone ever been waiting to dish your plate at a potluck dinner or a buffet and had to wait for these slow pokes who just take forever to dish their plates?

It's almost like they're stuck in pause mode as they hover over the different foods, totally perplexed at how to get the food from the big dishes onto their plates. They literally stand there and hover and just look at the food. Whats up with that???

Seriously, I can prepare my plate at a good sized buffet or potluck, in a minute at the most. I see the food I want. I put it in the big serving spoon, put it on my plate then move on! It doesn't seem that hard to me!

Am I the only one here? Am I crazy for being able to prepare my plate rather quickly?

What if the person cant see really well... so he has to glare at the food to really get what it is.... just a reminder to hear both sides of a situation before you cast full judgment on things...

It can be really frustrating, especially when my belly is getting waaaaayyyy to friendly with my backbone. But what i do in a situation like that is simply say, "excuse me" and step around them. That way, I can get my food, drink and anything else such as extra napkins and start my meal. While they are now aware there are other's in line, but also might appreciate a little courtesy too. That way nobody gets upset and the pleasant atmosphere is maintained.
Who know, maybe a friendship could be started too.

Ha Chris, I must have had this conversation with you like a bazillion times. You must really be passionate about this issue to start a thread on it. But I hear you... it is super frustrating. I do feel your pain and agree with you!!

As a hardcore buffet fan, nothing makes me angrier than some dude who is hovering in front of the food deciding what he wants.....

HELLO!! YOU'VE PAID A FIXED PRICE! JUST PUT IT ON YOUR PLATE!

I can't recall how many minutes i've lost of egg fried rice eating because of these buffet spoilers....
