I hope this one isn't too offending to anyone here. The last of my finished "songs" I made based on one song of Nightwish I heard + one book in Bible

Questions

Standing proud, denying of words their faith!
Declaring their foolishness you say they are crazy.
That you are: The follower of your own wisdom.
Marching under the banner of freedom, but what you are?
In yourself you are like sheep long lost!

Didn’t you saw their encouraging among the people?
Didn’t you hear the song that carried over the city?
Didn’t you read the book of their word?
Didn’t you ever have talked about them your friends?
Didn’t you see their guessing came true?
Didn’t you smell the swamp that stopped the plan?
Didn’t you felt the storm around you, feeling nothing special in there?

Mark you have demanded, seven you got, and still you don’t believe!

You are free, independent and strong.
No on to rely on, you are your own master.
What’s life? What’s after it? You know that?
You fight hard but what is its purpose, what are you proving?
How much you got time oh warrior?

Didn’t you saw the effect of their words?
Didn’t you hear the word that carried to all people?
Didn’t you study their word for any reason?
Didn’t you ever have exchanged a word about them to anyone?
Didn’t you stand there watching when their word happened?
Didn’t you remember the accident that protected them?
Didn’t you recognize the unexplainable occurring around you?

Mark you have demanded, seven you got, and still you don’t believe!
Yeah this sounds like a metal song too :D, hey what about the Finnish part? Its not offending its more like chastisement, alot of that happened in the bible where God had prophets tell the people to get right because they were disobedient. And Nightwish? I remember them. Would be awesome if they were saved.

A rock band? That is very cool I am gonna say blessings over you and your group that God would use you mightily for his kingdom and that you are highly favored - amen.

This is a very awesome poem well done, full of authority keep it up you got skill :). Is your band like partially metal too by any chance?

Well, after I married and moved to another country; The Netherlands, the band got kinda splitted up.

It was put up by the husband of a friend of mine, he wished to start up a Christian rock band, most to be giving praises and worship to God through it. After hearing some positive comments from my friend that is his wife about me having a nice singing voice, he asked me if I'd like to be a part of this band. And then he asked two more guys to joining in, one for doing the drumming, and the other for playing the bass guitar, and he himself playing the el guitar. It was all just a project, and we did a demo of one song that got completed, and the rest was still only instrumental yet, since I hadn't managed finding out yet how to sing the other songs as how it would sound good with the music made. I do have one demo myself, something I still think as fun and nice having.

I do miss being in a rock band like this one. It did felt very cool and fun, sure much work too, in some way. I'd love doing it again as in joining in a Christian rock band, I beleive it is "very me".

It was mostly towards the genre rock/heavy metal. Not so much "metal" in that way, though there are different definitions of how one views metal to being like, etc... I did try once to doing a bit screamo with some song I was trying to finding out how to sing in the melody, but the drummer isn't much fond of that kinda vocal done in music. Lol. And it was of course meant a bit as an joke, although I at the same time did like the thought of it being done in that way. ;) But anywho; I am not very known with nor good practized with the correct way of doing metal screamo/grunts the right way for your throat to not getting it destroyed with your voice, so it is also best staying away from too much tryings anyways so that I will not end up damaging my voice too.

Thanks for the feedback as well. :)

Yep. Good and strong to the point song, tjogs. :)

Hmm... Nightwish has always been more into the genre popmetal. ;) Sure, now with the new singer it is a lot more pop-ish than when they had Tarja Turunnen, I beleive she was the only one that truly gave good quality and praise to the band before she left? Or that's what I've heard.

Well if God put that dream on your heart I hope you get to fulfill it. I wish you all the best in that. I think it would be great to be apart of a band. Yeah Screamo and grunts I'm not so sure about either.

Aww yeah I loved Tarja's Opera voice, especially when she sang that Phantom of the Opera song, it was very beautiful.

First I'd like taking private singing lessons, that's a dream I have had for quite some time already. Then I will see where or what God leads me into, though a Christian rock band is something I have always wanted to be joining into, even before I got asked by my friend's husband. :) We will see...

Well, I had a different view about the Phantom of the Opera song, since I first heard it song by Sarah Brightman, and then I watched that movie that came in 2004, I think it was? But my husband bought one album of her now, and I do must agree she has a very powerful and beautiful voice. ;) :)

delusion - by Lowanla (me)

can't think anymore trying to remember what it is all for
thinking about you again loneliness becomes my only friend
and they don't understand oh God remind me who I am
condemning words burn and push me away I am left with in my pain
how can one love delusion? does love have to be so reclusive?
crying in the night and you've held on tight
how can I deny you and what does this say of me?
will any fruit come of this? or am I just dreaming?
I will keep my head up even in secret shame
in love for you I walk and no one is really to blame
I do
love you
even if you are just warmth and that is all
and I won't stop believing in hope for you, I will give my all

God Save Us - by Lowanla (me)

warmth love rose thorn
dreams hope life mourn
morning dawn drift onward
spiral up life forward
-
God save this thorn and rose
what plan have you to make things right
come down and save us with your light
what can I do God (save them)
what can I do Lord (save him)
-
Flow through the darkness give me hope again
let me know that your in control and it is written
Cut through the pain I can't live like this
you love me Lord and great is your faithfulness
-
its so cold they don't know
I'm running and getting no where
endurance is all I have
I believe in love I recieve true life
despite whats around me
God is still in control
-
Flow through the darkness give me hope again
let me know that your in control and it is written
Cut through the pain I can't live like this
you love me Lord and great is your faithfulness

And I shall Remember - by Lowanla (me)

here comes the darkness slithers over me
like a treacherous serpent its covering me
what to concentrate on? Cannot focus at all
its night three in the morning what should I do?
everyones asleep I'm afraid who can I turn to?

a faint whisper

"Luke 10:19"

usually one I never adhere to

The darkness still coming to bind me with chains,

the whisper again gently from my heart.

"Behold I give you power to tread
on serpents and scorpions,"

The chains break yet more grow on.

I keep fighting to remember each word
in the bible as the fear creeps in
cold sweat slides down my face
I forgot. where was I again?

the whisper again

"and over all
the power of the enemy:
and nothing shall by any means hurt
you."

As I finish my scripture memorized
in my heart
the darkness creeps over but the
strength of it is lessened.

The whisper again...

"I give you the words but now
is the time to choose
what you will believe.

The fear...

or shall you believe

me?"

I believe you I believe
Jesus Christ, I mumbled under my breath
and then

The chains broke off
the serpent hissed threatened
it coiled away
as light came over me

the fear tried to remind me
of all the bad that was happening to me
I fought to keep my thoughts and focus on Jesus
thats what kept the darkness at bay

I fell asleep in sweet peace
Jesus stood near my bed and kept the darkness away.

2 Corinthians 4:8-9(NIV) 8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

2 Corinthians 4:8-9

I praise instead - by Lowanla (me)

Though I am thrown down
Slammed against the wall
I will call on you Lord,
for you are my savior,

though I am beaten,
though I am struck down
I will call on no other
for no other can save me

thou art my Lord,
You hold my life precious
I am your beloved
You repay evil to those who
seek my life
those who set evil curses
to destroy me
you will fight my battles
and turn their curses back
upon them

I am the apple of your eye
yes you will save me you
will not let me be destroyed.

and my enemies will watch
as you set me in high places,
the places they've sought to
take away.

It was your plan
and your plan for my life
will not be stopped

I praise you Lord,
yes I praise your name
forevermore.

-end-

This is a very powerful poem. Makes me thinking of many similiar battles I have myself, as well as to keeping on beleiving in our Saviour and keep on trusting in Him even when my fear seems to be coming stronger over me. Awesome when we decide to just let go off the fear and trust God will take care of the rest, and sleep on in peace without that fear of death coming over our minds. Yes, God's Peace is always the most wonderful peace to having over one.

This is a poem I wrote another time. I sometimes just start with writing, and then it turns out a lot better than I'd be expecting from my writings to become at that moment, or so... Lol. But it is many times whenever we might get inspired at those times when we think we aren't. ;) :)

"The Crying Rose"

A rose is standing all alone
under a dark shadowed tree
Hanging down with her head
in deep sorrow and despair
Every day in the dark
without any sunlight to see.

Hidden away from the world
behind thorns and weed
Searching for the sun
to keep her warm and alive
A fading beauty in fully prison
not being able to fully bloom.

Heavy tears falling down
breaking off every petals she has got left
This wounding pain inside
won't let her fully blossom
Withering under a dark shadowed tree
all cold and alone
Untill the last breath of life
takes her back home.

yeah, most of these are experiences I went through so I just put them down this way. Yeah it was a pretty successful feeling of becoming an overcomer by faith- Thankyou.

yeah it kind of reminds me of myself or at least any woman with powerful strong walls up,

I think its a Japanese Opera, the story is about a wicked princess, who is courted by many men
but remembering her cousing being killed by her lover, she becomes bitter and does not want to
marry, so even though she is being courted she decides to give them riddles to solve, if they can
solve it/them, they can marry her, if they can't, they are put to death.

There is one prince though that knows the answer to that riddle, but he's got a riddle for her too.

Thankyou, I am very appreciative of your kind words. The best time I write is through pain, my way of overcoming it, so many of them were written in tears.

. Thats very metaphorical too, could be for both rose the flower and for a woman, or a man or anyone who feels without hope, at least that is how i see it. Aww I really like this one, its really good thankyou for sharing it was beautifully written.
