The Blood of Jesus cleanses of all iniquity.

My friends, whoever Jesus frees is free. You should not continue in grief. His burden is light.

I will not burden you with the full weight of righteousness, because Jesus Christ is the only one who carried it, that is why you ought to cast your burdens on him. If you are yoked with him, then the load is light, and not burdensome.

Righteousness is by faith in God and his Son Jesus Christ who saves you from all sin. He saved you from the penalty of sin which is death, to live in righteousness, which is eternal life.

So it is called the shield of faith, because Satan shoots all types of condemnation at you because of sins that are past, but those are gone away, wiped from his book by His blood.

As long as his blood is your mantel, Satan cannot dismantle. To go out from under his mantel is death, which is by sin.

On the night of the Passover, Israel was commanded to take the blood of a spotless lamb and kill it, and apply the blood to the lintel of the door posts. And to not come out of the house. And that anyone who has the blood applied over the lintel of the door post, they would be saved from the death that was going to smite the land.

Jesus Christ is that Passover lamb that was slain by Israel to receive power and glory and honor. Because God honored him, who said of him, ''This is my son in whom I am well pleased.'' And God gave him a name above all names, both in heaven and in earth.

If you go out of the barrier of the blood, you are subject to death. If you continue in sin, you will die, but if in the love of Jesus Christ, you will live.

Two options. Choice life or choose death. Which will you choose today?

May Jesus bless you.

Why was Israel commanded to spread the blood of a lamb on their doorways? It seems that if god is all-knowing then he would have known who to wipe out and who to save right? Just demonstrating my ignorance, thats all!
obedience. it was a test of obedience and a sign to those who did not believe that GOD was real and true and powerful to save His people so that they might repent and turn from their sin.

Oh and by the way! Haven't almost all biblical archeologists concluded that the events listed in the book of exodus were mythological! I.E Israel Finkelstein and Zeev Herzog of the Tel Aviv University, etc..
I would rather listen to the wisdom of God then the wisdom of men.

what are both of those men's stance on who Jesus was and is?

But why a lamb? And what about the poor little lambs? Couldn't have God set a test that didn't involve slaughter? It makes my blood shiver!
its suppose to make your blood shiver because those lambs are died in the place of men.

it was suppose to be men who died that day but the slaughter of the lambs foreshadowed the mercy and grace of Jesus on the cross for the remission of sins so that all who believed in HIm might have eternal life.

God has to show the depths of the curse of death and sin so that people might break free of the lies and illusions and repent and turn to JESUS for Salvation, but still people rebel even when Manna has come down from Heaven and suffered and died for them, they refuse to believe in the resurrection and the promise and the love God has shown to the world through Jesus.

that He endured torment and death so we might be forgiven and healed. Just as the lambs died in the place of the firstborn, so Jesus died for sinners so they would not have to suffer the torments of Hell if they but turn from their sin and faithlessness. It is a testimony of Love. Agape Love that forgives and calls out to those who hate and despise and misuse you, that they may be healed and know true happiness in the loving arms of God.

Why did not God make man sinless to begin with? Surely he had the power! Why kill an innocent son, Jesus, setting a precedent that it is ok to kill the innocent to fix a mistake of your own, a mistake committed by an all-knowing and all-powerful god? I would never intentionally let my children suffer for my mistakes, but then. perhaps I am more responsible and more selfless than the god of the Jews"
you allow your children and the world to suffer for your mistakes even now with your self righteous attitude. you are neither more responsible or selfless than God.

You are arrogant and prideful and full of questions and anger, but then you are still trapped in your sin and so we will pray that God grant you mercy and a new heart of grace to repent of your sins and turn from them to God.

Jesus did not set a precedent that it was ok to kill an innocent to fix a mistake but to demonstrate that love goes beyond self and allows one to transcend their selfish prideful nature and understand the true meaning of mercy and grace.

Jesus is GOD and He suffered and died for the sins of people who rejected and disobeyed Him from the beginning.

Would you be willing to die for the mistakes of your children so that they might live even if they nail you to the cross and ridicule and spit upon you?

Would you be able to bless them and pray for them and beseech them to turn from their sin and come back home?

Do you have the mercy to forgive offenses others have inflicted upon you or the unmerited grace to love and heal others who hate and wish to kill you?

May Jesus bless you. I am VERY glad you commented on this thread. Very good questions, and I want to respond to each on individually, as this is a very precious thing that the Lord has shown me.

Many things that the Lord commanded to Israel in the Old Testament was a foreshadowing of what he would accomplish in the New Testament through Jesus Christ. Many of them are allegories. So, this commandment is a hidden secret that only those who have the revelation of it will truly understand. Even though I explain it, some will still not understand.

That lamb was a picture of Jesus Christ. A picture of what Jesus would accomplish in Israel, his people. The doorways are a part of us, and the application of the blood is a commandment to us, both you and I personally. Even the eating of the Passover Lamb.

Remember that on that night, Israel was going to be set free, and death would smite those who weren't protected by the blood. In the same way, death will smite those who are not protected by the blood of the Passover Lamb, which had to be spotless, (no sin in Jesus Christ). I will stop there for now.

May Jesus bless you.

May Jesus bless you. And may the Lord bless your ears to hear. Amen!!

You asked, ''why a lamb?''

A very precious secret the Lord reveals to us in the lamb, is the nature of a lamb. Yes, day in and day out, Israel was commanded to kill animals for their own sins. And they got so used to killing animals for their sins, loving their sins, that they disregarded the fact that every time they had to offer a sacrifice for their lack of self control, it meant the life of a poor innocent animal. So, Israel became violent, and those sacrifices did not make their sins go away, as they did it as a form of tradition, taking the life of innocent animals.

But of all the animals God created, the nature of a lamb, and especially an unspotted lamb, without blemish, was the most telling thing ever. As innocent as this lamb was, day after day, people killed them without remorse, wanting to be clean through tradition, and not wanting to stop sinning.

My friend, Jesus Christ was that poor innocent lamb, and because Israel did not care to stop sinning, they killed their own sacrifice without remorse, not wanting to stop sinning, for the love of their sins.

Yes, it does make the blood shiver. But this sacrifice would be poured over the mind and hearts of the people who understood who killed that Lamb of God. My friend, you killed him by your own sin, and so did I. We all were guilty of his blood. But it was by his blood that atonement was made for our sins.

These things are not for the world, but for Israel, who understands them, yet Israel is still hostile to them.

I do not speak of the Jews only, but also the gentiles, and also to many Christians. Many Christians have become like these people who killed Jesus, who also mock and persecute and curse and speak evil of his servants, to whom Jesus said, ''I send you our like sheep among wolves.'' Why? Because they did not understand the message of the kingdom of God.

I will stop there for now.

whew. I am trying to answer all of your questions, as God gives. But the message before this answers most of this post already, but I will answer it individually.

God made man in his own image and likeness, and he gave them a command, as he does still, to not eat of the forbidden tree.

Like a child whose parent says, ''DON'T TOUCH THE STOVE WHILE I AM GONE''

God has also forbidden many things that only make this world corrupt, but because people just love to corrupt themselves, naturally they are not good.

Sin comes from those who know to do right, but do wrong anyhow. But again, these were lessons and allegories of what God was going to teach the man. Men try to play the part of God, but men have proved they can only corrupt what is pure. EVERY ONE HAS!!

Sin killed Jesus, your sin and my sin, because we were evil. Many people who say they would not have killed Jesus, already do kill him today, by mocking and ridicule of his servants. It is no joke either.

It was a hard thing for the Father to let his son go into the hands of sinners. Jesus said, ''Behold, the son of man is BETRAYED into the hands of sinners.''

No reason to be betrayed either, like an innocent lamb who simply spoke what his Father told him.

Even the Jews did not serve God, proving this by killing Jesus. Many Christians don't serve God either, proving this by slaying his servants. Why? Because they love their sin.

Many parents slay their own children. Why? Because they love their sin.

Anyone who loves sin is capable of murder, as it is because of iniquity that the guiltless is condemned.

May Jesus bless you.

Shall I keep my questions to my self? Is your belief beyond question? If it is then surely it is not truth, for the truth cannot be threatened by investigation and examination. It is like the moon in the presence of howling wolves, unmoved! So if what you believe is the truth then do not worry about ridicule for none can touch it, no matter how hard they try.
May Jesus bless you michalesherlock. :):)

The Jews examined Jesus all the time, but their intent was to trap him in his words, already determining to kill him in their hearts, which was in their heart by the iniquity that was in them.

I tell you the truth, there is murder in the hearts of many people toward Christians already. If Christians are not prepared to suffer for the gospel, they are already lost. I do speak the truth when I say that a time is coming when to mention you are a Christian will cost your life. Even mentioning Jesus.

Yes, murder is in the hearts of all sinners. All sinners desire to kill Jesus. The want God dead. And anyone who is righteous in the time to come, will be a target. Now is the time to repent, because there will be a time when hearts will not be restored, and where they hearts of men who rejected the love of the truth will be hardened, never able to repent, like Pharaoh, so that God will show his mighty works. Once again he will shake this earth, with a violent shaking. And all men will fear for their lives.

And because the love of many people is growing cold, iniquity will increase.

My friend, to be carnally minded is death. But to be spiritually minded is eternal Life through Christ Jesus.

God's laws are good, his commandments are just and fair. But manipulation of men have put away his laws, and have adopted new laws, which are not righteous laws.

In this way, laws are customized to one's iniquitous heart.

What a day it will be when the law says, ''Thou can kill, thou can steal, thou can rape, thou can molest, thou can beat?''

But Jesus sees that these things come from within the heart, and manifest this way. So he said, DO NOT BE ANGRY IN YOUR HEART, DO NOT COVET, DO NOT LUST, DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, DO NOT GIVE EYE FOR EYE NOR TOOTH FOR TOOTH!!

Yet, fearing God to keep the whole law, which you cannot keep, only brings fear and not peace. Jesus Christ saves us from sin. He forgives us of our sins, and cleanses us with his blood (which was the cost. A life for a life.)

He forgives us (pardons us), and says, Go, sin no more.

Many people today have an issue with the latter part, ''Go, sin no more.''

May Jesus bless you.

No "worries" about either ridiculing or investigating christianity. Principally I agree that anything that cannot tolerate criticism, questioning and examination cannot be true. However, that is not really what I see happening in most of your posts. To the issues of beliefs and spirituality there are also quite a few things that cannot be "proven" nor disproven scientifically. Believers, atheists and agnostics are at equal terms here.

As the Judaism is essentially rooted in Bablyonianism, could there be some astrological significance for the lamb, during the age of Aries?
The reason that the Old Testament is sure, is that the Jews were dedicated to tradition, and this is perfect. You see, if only for a pretense, they were serious about keeping sabbath and festivals, they would not get that wrong at all. In fact, It had to be this way, and the Lord God chose a woman, Mary, who would keep every single commandment concerning what was to be done before a birth and such.

I learned that Mary followed the rituals of Jews very closely also. She observed them well, but this was so that they would have NO WAY in which to say Jesus had not kept the law. He not only kept it, but he fulfilled both the law and the prophets.

He did not destroy them, but he gave their true meaning. Although, the meaning he gave fell on hard hearts, who were full of iniquity.

Righteousness has nothing to do with keeping of holy days as a tradition, nor of ideals of men, nor of feasts. It has everything to do with loving the Lord God with all ones heart, mind and soul, and your neighbor as yourself. All the law and the prophets rest on these.

No matter how much one knows, if they don't keep this command, they will perish in the pit. And the keeping of this command is only possible through Jesus. By his blood. When we truly understand his sacrifice, and apply it to our own lives, then we will never stray away, nor be deceived.

May Jesus bless you.

There's a reason for everything God does. Though we may think somethings are silly or just confusing
we must remember
Isa 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
Isa 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Although I do not profess your religion, nor share your views, if the time came when Christians were being killed, simply for having faith the manner of their choice, I would stand with you. You have my word!
May Jesus bless you michaelsherlock.

I realize all the more now that my life cannot be my own. Jesus was full of love. And not only this, he healed people and performed many miracles, but people still hardened their hearts, and bitterness crept in.

I ask Jesus to search my heart all the time, because I don't want anything wrong in me. This is why I must love you my friend. I must love you with even my own life.

I cannot help but to mourn. To be separated from this world is overwhelming. It means to be separated from everything the world thinks is good and right, and to depend only on God. ONLY!

I tell you the truth when I say, that any Christians who tries to justify sin is not a Christian at all. Most of the hostility in Jesus's day came from those who thought they were righteous, but were not.

I am telling you the truth also, that Jesus did not die for Christians only, nor for Jews only, nor for gentiles only. He died so that all men might be saved.

What saddens me the most is that there will be some that will not hear and be saved my friend.

Peter was a precious soul. Before Jesus was to be betrayed into the hands of sinners, he promised the Lord that he would be with him and die with him. But when the hour came, he forsook him 3 times in one night. Even Peter was offended on that night.

It is beautiful that you say such a thing, but even I do not know the true conditions of my own heart, as in what I might do if tomorrow there was a decree against my life for Jesus's names sake. I do hope the Lord takes out any offense in me.

I tell you the truth again, that anyone who loves sin loves their life, and is not willing to give it for Jesus's sake. But anyone who despises sin, and follows Jesus, is willing to give up EVERYTHING and follow him.

My friend, remember this, Jesus Christ will forgive you of any sin you commit, and it is Satan who wants to keep you in bondage to sin, because he knows that if you continue in it, you will end up in the same judgement that he will.

The entire world lies in iniquity, so that the minds and hearts of men are blinded from Jesus Christ. If only people would go to him. If only, before it is too late. Tomorrow is not promised.

So many false religions today my friend. You have to seek the Truth for yourself, not depending on people. Now is the time for salvation. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life.

May Jesus bless you greatly AMEN!.
