Loving money separates you from Jesus.
For seeking money many have gone away from Jesus, to trust money, and to loose faith.
If you love money, it will offend you away from Jesus. If your life is held up by money, your life will be taken from you. But if your life is in Jesus, and his life is in you, then eternal life will be given to you.
The world runs off of money, but the kingdom of God off of love, hope, faith. But even with hope and faith, it cannot run without love.
Many people could not see a life without money. They fear the idea of it. But others cannot see a life without Jesus. Which is yours?
Wherever your treasure is, there will your heart be also. If you lay up treasures on this earth, your heart is minding the things of the earth, but if you lay up treasures in heaven, your heart is minding heavenly things.
Many people preach an earthly gospel, a gospel of earthly treasures. But Jesus teaches of the treasures of heaven, a treasure that is not seen by the world, because the world cannot receive this treasure.
Neither can the carnal mind know the things of the Spirit, because they are spiritually understood.
And the carnal mind is hostile against things of the Spirit, there can be no agreement between the two.
You want to be spiritual? Then focus on things of the Spirit, and not on things of the flesh.
Jesus said that his words are Spirit and they are Life. So focus on his words to keep them, and you will have life, and you will know the things of the Spirit.
But if you focus on things of men, you will only know the things that be of men.
The things that be of men, Satan is concerned with, but the things that be of God, Jesus is concerned with.
Be concerned with what Jesus is concerned with, and not the cares of this world.
