What if when we get to heaven (judgement) we discover that the only way to get past the gatekeeper is with the knowledge of the word of God (Bible)? What if Satan's the gatekeeper? Remember that Satan KNOWS the Bible through and through. We would be standing there without the instruction book (Bible). Remember also that God uses Satan to test man's knowledge of his word. Would we really want to be locked outside those gates with HIM? Didn't think so.(teasing) Me neither. But really now. WHAT IF? Scary thought isn't it? God bless you

When we receive Christ as our personal saviour, believe that he is the son of God, died on the Christ...rose from the dead and ask forgiveness of our sins...if we are ready for that great new relationship where Jesus meets us where we are at....we will already have eternal life in Heaven...sorry...no gate-keeper.

Once we have accepted Christ into our lives and have repented, we become born again. We have eternal life.

The bible is a love letter given to us by God. It is for teaching, rebuking, correcting and allows us to grow spiritually, as we read and apply God's word into our lives.

If we die not having accepted Christ we will be sent to hell. You only have the opportunity to accept Christ in the physical world. There are no tests after we die. No gatekeeper. Christ will either welcome those who accepted him in the physical life, or to those who haven't accepted him, he will say "depart, I never knew you" (Matthew 7:21)

I know you're being theoretical, and not really believing in this, but no, its not scary. Not at all. Its not true, we know this. Its so far from the truth i can't even find the theoretical concept of it scary. I understand what you're getting at, but its too far fetched to have any effect. I'm sure there are other ways to approach this that would be more effective. Don't mean this critically either, just pointing out.

Certainly don't want to be locked anywhere with Satan;
Not even sure I could cope with being locked with 'hom';
But I can battle, manage & cope with anything with my Lord & Saviour at my side.

Satan can't keep the Gate which is Jesus Christ.

He can't even keep what he had before he was lifted up with his pride.

He is a mere shadow in the Light of Christ. Satan is already defeated, and has NO authority over the saints of God. He is nothing to fear but a coward.

I trust in Jesus Christ to save me from his schemes and devices. I trust in the Lord to deliver me out of his traps. He is a liar and the prince of liars. He is awaiting his judgement.

Don't fear that scoundrel.

Fear God, who has power to send you to hell if you don't repent. Satan doesn't have that power at all. Jesus' power FAR supersedes his.

May Jesus bless you.

Our Lord gave witness that His people perish for lack of knowledge. I understand the struggle in the beginnings of faith. Even the first disciples struggled to understand even though they walked with Christ. In our faith, we are no different. When Peter heard from Jesus that He must suffer many things and be crucified, Peter did what seemed right to him, and he told Jesus under no circumstances this should be allowed. Immediately Jesus said, Get behind Me Satan. You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but of men."

In this action, Jesus was defending Peter. The covenant relationship Jesus has with Peter and with you, will not fail. You cannot be removed from His hand. Place your trust in the One who shows you the power of His mercy....

Jesus has shown you mercy with His very life. If you understand this, than you know in your heart that to doubt Him is sin, and Jesus will even forgive you for that.

For this one I agree with Ramon

and: Yes, it is good to know the Bible, it will make us better equipped to resist satans attacks, but the bible itself will not save our souls.

Hi Folks - Hope all is well with you - As a brain injury patient who has "died" twice, in ICU, Satan doesn't have the key, trust me! That key is simply in our own hearts & minds!

Jesus has the Key. I don't beleive anyone will get past judgement carrying excess baggage. (lust, greed envy, jealousy, sloth, gluttony, etc.) What if God decides to teach you his ways and truths before letting you through? God has many tools at his disposal.The Bible states that it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Hebrews 10:31. And remember God does not lie--He can only tell the Truth. There is one who can tell truths, half-truths, and full lies. What if God uses him to tell you lies to see if you know the word of God at judgement?

you forget the fact that Jesus blood washes us clean, it removes our transgressions from us.... in Gods eyes, through the Christ of blood, we have no guilt...
