Despite the trivial topic, I'm curious as to what institutions individuals on here attend or aspire to one day matriculate into. Shoot away!

I really want to attend a local university in my hometown so bad but I had a dream in which I got rejected. I woke up, sweating all over, thinking it was real. Relief reigned over me as soon as I came back to reality. Maybe that's a sign...nonetheless, maybe its best for me. If I do indeed get accepted, well me=:)^3, lol

School/Major: Rice University/Biology

Hi Website, etc! - Hope this finds you well from the "crazy on site Irishman"!!
You should never think of what you may not be able to do & the reasons for it - Rather the things you are going to do & with your God beside you, what you're gonna do! Do you have to attend your hometown Uni? Or can you apply to others just that little bit further away? I know that may seem like a daunting prospect but, as an unstable epileptic & brain injury patient, I'm born/bred from a little "one horse town" deep in W. Cork but I attended Uni in Belfast. All support I needed suddenly appeared, through the church I found & the good people there.
Now, many moons later & after graduation I'm in a job which bounces me all over Europe & though I still suffer seizures & have bad days, these just make me stronger somehow. I fall down, I just get up again. Maybe it's the Irish in me but I'd say, You go for what you want like a bull at a gate. What have you got to lose with your God @ your side?

Lol, "etc."! I know God will lead me to the right school. I don't have to attend my hometown university, but this is the one I really want to attend. Its funny you say that because I originally wanted to attend JHU which is more than a 1000 miles away from home but since Rice is in my hometown, I figured I had nothing to lose with requesting and having an interview. The interview changed my mind completely, and made me realize this was the school I've wanted to go to all along. I changed from not applying at all to applying there ED (early decision-this means that if admitted, I have to go no matter what, unless certain impediments arise that hinder me from attending).

May I ask how you received the brain injury? That sounds awesome, that you received support from the church! Do you love your career? What do you do? Haha, "the Irish in me"! I've come to realize that I have nothing to lose, if I don't get admitted, I understand God has another school for me.
