Yes Jesus heals the entire person, spirit, soul and body, it's part of the gospel:

Luke 4:18

18 “ The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.”

There are many ways that Jesus heals, as there are many ways a person gets wounded.
Some times it's just asking him, praying and fasting, spending time with Him in His presence, there are times of forgiveness if there was an offense by another person before some healing can set in (also physically), there are instances deeper deliverance is needed if there is a stronghold in a person created by a wounded soul... it all depends on the situation.
In any case, it's His specialty and He is really good at it...

I hear your cry. I know what you mean, unfortunately many people belief in a such watered down and partial gospel nowadays for the most part that they do not think that applies anymore. Many believe everything was automatically done for them when they "got born again" or "saved" and now they just need to wait in the grace of Jesus until He calls them "home". No gifts of the Spirit, no healing, no deliverance or casting out demons needed,...etc. in total contrary to what Jesus actually said and commanded. Nobody wants to "walk out" their salvation with fear and trembling anymore, they ceased from their works (that God had prepared for them), because they thing that grace does everything magically for them like a Harry Potter wand. Jesus warns us and the churches about this in Revelation. Read all the letters to the churches in Rev 2 and 3.
If you have any more questions post them any time or feel free to email me.
Blessings!

Dear Searching,

It has been a week since I last visited this site, so please don't lump me into that group of prople who didn't care about your topic. I definitely believe that Jesus provides emotional healing as well as physical healing. In Matthew 11, verses 29 and 30, He tells us, "Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” And in John 16, verse 33, He told his disciples, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Knowing that God is in absolute control of everything that happens on this earth, and knowing how deeply Jesus loves us, I believe that it becomes easier to face any trials which may present themselves to us. With Him, we are equipped to handle anything that life throws our way; physical, mental or emotional.

God bless.

Searching,

Jesus is definitely an emotional healer! :) I've learned this throughout my life and in times that seemed like nothing was happening and my situation was not changing, I have now realized that he was busy working behind the scenes healing me! :D Jesus is indeed a comforter! :)

What is your take on your question? :)

Yes. I don't want to explain because a lot of folks here will probably call it coincidence, nonsense, overactive imagination, etc... I'll just say that he sometimes exercises divine intervention.

Hi searching,

Exodus 15:26 (KJV)
And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

Psalm 34:18 (KJV)
The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

Hang in there for there is a season for everything,

Ecclesiates 3:1 (KJV)
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.

Jesus is with you even until the end of the world,

Matthew 28:20 (KJV)
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Always have faith and be of good courage,

John 16:33 (KJV)
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

God bless you sis...
