Is this a dream you're coming out of, or are you actually experiencing an invisible force upon you when you're awake...? I'm not familiar with "ghost rape stories".
If you're not a believer, then this "ghost" could very well be a demon with ill intent. Attempting to rebuke it in the name of Jesus Christ will only prove fruitful if you genuinely accept Him and abide in Him. Tread carefully.

As already said, rebuke those spirits in Jesus name. The bible says in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ"
When you became a Christian, you were given authority over everything on earth. The bible says in Revelation 1:6 that we are made as kings and priests and whenever you feel anything try to torment you, rebuke it in Jesus name. Tell it to go away, whether be it a thought or feeling or ghost, you have authority over it. God bless you sis

Firstly, from a biblical standpoint a 'ghost' cannot exist. The concept of a ghost is that it is the soul of a dead human, trapped on the earth do to some 'unfinished business' on earth. Yet the bible say 'once to die, then to judgement'. So no, there is no 'ghost rape'.
Also, i notice you posted an occult based web site as your reference. If you're going on websites about things like this to begin with, that is probably the trouble you're having. You can't mix occult and Christianity. Psychics, tarot cards, magic crystals, communicating with the dead, mediums, astrology, ouija boards, astral projection, 'ghosts', horoscopes , and other similar things are all under the occult banner and strictly forbidden in the bible. All of that is based in interaction with demons. Period. And if you aren't normally reading or involving yourself in these things, i still find it interesting that you went to an occult based site for answers. If there is some demon afflicting you in such a manner i'd say its time for some serious spiritual warfare. I'd also say its time to really rethink your salvation, if its true or not. I normally try not to be one of those people i they are or are not saved. And i don't know for sure with you. But you say you're Christian, but yet also question God's very existence to such a degree that you put it in your name. Sure, we all have our moments of doubt, but something tells me you're going through more than a moment of doubt. Also seeking answers from worldly, occultic sources first, as opposed to bible, or other Christians even. And then if you're being regularly afflicted so strongly by a demonic presence, just something isn't adding up here. First, i'd suggest going to talk to your pastor about whether you have been truly saved or not. Just as a precaution. Then seeing if perhaps he'd be willing to come and pray over your home, especially your bedroom, to remove any spirits there. And, of course, pray over you. Perhaps a few people could go to the house to pray over you and the house. Finally, when these things do happen, dream or real, you should immediately begin calling on Jesus and his name for help. Just keep praying and calling on Jesus, don't stop. And stay away from those sites and that kind of stuff in general.

This is a pretty classic case of sleep paralysis. I am not an expert in the area, so I suggest doing to reading on it. I know a bit, but I don't want to give any bad info.
I do know that things as simple as needing new pillows can cause it. Yes, even the rape thing can be normal, as you aren't fully awake and your brain is not registering information correctly. Anyway, good luck, do some reading. |

I agree. Godsaveme, look up sleep paralysis. It is more common than many people think it is. I myself have suffered from it a few times when I was younger. It was even worse because I could sense something in my room with me after I woke up. What ALWAYS helped was to pray the Our Father at least 3 times as soon as I woke up even if was too scared to open my eyes or move. It always restored peace and calmness.
God bless.

I'd heard of it for a while but never experienced it and wondered what the big deal was. Oh no, you wake up and can't move. Whaaaa! Actually, though, it was every bit as terrifying as I'd been told. I tried to scream, throat muscles wouldn't respond, etc.

Yes, thats what happened to me too. Wanted to scream, but couldn't. This all happened to me when I was a younger man and not a christian and I used to have a strong interest in things like ghosts and meditation and out-of-body-experiences, etc.. I strongly believe there is more to it than just what goes on in the mind. When I said those prayers, it was an overwhelming sense of calm that came over me and I can't reproduce that with my mind no matter how hard I try.

Whatever it is, and it doesn't really matter whether its a ghost or a demon or just your imagination (which I don't think it is).. it will be gotten rid of with the unearthly power that is in the name of Jesus.
Godsaveme, I recently watched a video that was in the news about a woman who had turned away from christianity and had become a ghost hunter. She and her husband liked to record EVP's (ghost voices). She came to this one house where she said the spirit she sensed there seemed very evil and really scared her and she remembered back in her christian days about saying the name of Jesus to cast away evil spirits so she tried it. She didn't even say it loud or with much confidence. Later on they played back the recording, not expecting anything abnormal but right after she says Jesus there is a strange sounding scream on the audio. It doesn't sound human either. Here is the video which was posted on a news story back in December... Kristine McGuire: A Ghost Hunter Calls on Christ - CBN TV - Video

OK, you, a 16 year old girl who doubts the existence of God are 100% right in your experiences, and the bible is wrong. I got it. Silly me using the bible to prove my point. Who needs the bible when you 'opinions' are probably more correct than a book inspired by the Creator of the Universe.

Only in your head. If you're going to seek advice from a Christian community, be prepared to have that whole ghost notion of yours thrown out the window, because the Bible does not propose their existence, plain and simple. A malevolent spirit is not considered a "ghost"; it is considered a demon.

Whether they are named ghosts or demons, if they feel bad they are bad. IF they feel good, yet say things you know are not true, they are still bad...
Whatever you do do not seek them out, call upon them or talk with them if there is even the slightest possibility they are not good.
