Your question is the same as if God doesn't want us to sin why does He watch us sin? Answer is free will... God works in people who open up their lives to Him. God bless

Where does it say a non-Christians soul belongs to God? Why would a Christian want to sell his soul?

God allows us to make our own choices. He doesn't want us to do a lot of things, but He gave us the right to choose to do it or not.

As a non-Christian, your soul is already hell bound. 'Selling' your soul doesn't change anything except make a conscious commitment to follow satan. When you accept Jesus, He washes your past sins and transgressions away. He is more powerful than satan. His forgiveness covers all sins. This is when your soul belongs to God. Because He has now bought you.

God in His unlimited love has given us free will to choose. Our most important choice is to freely decide to accept or reject God's constant offer of spending eternity with Him in heaven.
To reject Christ is sin, Christ is the only way you can be saved from sin.The Bible is the only infallible written Word of God, which says, all souls belong to God and the soul that continues to sin shall die.
Revelations 20:14-15, " And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire, this is the second death, and whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire."

some are chosen and some are not. What about the poor guy who would like to be a Christian but God does not choose him. He tries but does not grow, he seeks but does not find. Is it tough luck to you buddy. Sell you soul to the devil or just plan out off luck. See you in Hell

aww...don't say that, God said "My people perish because of the lack of knowledge." they don't know what the word of God says and extent of his mercy.

you know that thief that said "remember me Jesus.." that hung on the cross next to him only believed in Jesus, he could have just thrown the idea of Jesus being a savior away but he decided to believe.
That was his final day and he did all of that sin his entire life..but as soon as he said that. Jesus accepted him and recieved him into Heaven.

it was because we choose Jesus

If you even say "I believe in Jesus" or did something like an action like that and believed it in your heart
then you are saved. Its up to you to believe it and keep that word in your heart that it is true, that is your faith in action.

God hears faith more than anything.

Its between you and Christ not everyone else unless you want it to be,

don't be discouraged...

The bible is toward growth... Christ is toward Salvation.

This is what I do:

Just say this and believe you are talking to God through Jesus, have faith pray this prayer:

"Father God,

I come to you through your son Jesus Christ, please forgive me of my sin,
Jesus...please help me understand the scriptures and not be condemned by them but reveal it to me because I desire to grow and know about you, reveal your heart to me
reveal how much you love me so that I can love you back too."

-----------------------------------------------------
God's mercies are new every morning, so that means if you sinned yesterday, but asked God
today to forgive you for that sin, God would just keep forgiving you and forgiving you and forgiving you and on and on and on like the energizer bunny :) he is good and his mercies endure forever!

Its because he see's whats in your heart and he knows if inside you are trying to be serious,
he's willing to work with you, because he earnestly wants to be with you forever. He has good thoughts toward you and not of evil at all times, he loves you and wants you to truly know him.

If you try he's gonna get you with so many awesome blessings! and good things for you like
a rich man who loved his babies would spoil them with what they wanted so would God for you
because then you would see that you are his baby. :D hehe

What helps me are these scriptures:

Lamentations 3:23

22It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

and

Acts 3:19
Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord

-----------

combine these scriptures and believe that every time you pray your sins are forgiven then God forgets them like they never happened.

-------------------------
A father would not scream at his baby son for falling on its butt trying to walk, because the baby
was trying to walk the father would encourage him and help him back up as many times as he could
until the baby could walk on his own. How much love does God have for us who believe!

I don't see any reason to believe you can "sell your soul". Unless you mean something more, well shall we say, metaphoric.

If god doesnt wont you to sell your soul why does he just sit back and let you sell it if your soul belongs

to god and not you then how can you sell it in the first place if its not yours to sell makes no since

That's a pretty deep question. Why does God do what He does? uhh... I don't know. But this is what I think of it. God set up the world so that humans would always have a choice to follow Him or not. He gives that option to the holy angels too. If you want to be evil, you can be. That has observable advantages and disadvantages. The up side is, we can disobey God and do what we want when we want to do it, thus making God look even better compared to us because of His perfect self-control and goodness. The down-side, is that we have the consequenses of sin, which just so turns out to be everything bad in the universe. You still belong to God whether you're evil or not, in the sense that you're still His creation. No one can avoid that. When Christians say that God owns you, they don't mean that you are bound to serve Him. They mean He has rights over you. Rights, authority and power. =]
