Default ADVICE ON QUITTING SMOKING

What advice would you give someone who is trying to quit smoking?

Go on a pill. Or reach deep down into one's self and pull out that will power God gave one to quit. Unless He uses a lightening cure. But yeah, a lot of water, and lot of patience. James 1:2-4 comes to mind.

You should go to a christian therapist. That way he will work with you spiritually and mentally with your issues and you will have peace in your mind and your heart cause you will learn how to ask God those things and work on that spiritually and mentally. He will give you the tools. Also in the pharmacy there are pills to quit smoking that you could use. Please consider my advise
In Christ,

I'm a smoker too, and had actually quit for a period of a few weeks replacing the usual ciggarettes with hookah tobacco. 0.0% Tar and 0.5% nicotine. Whenever I wanted a ciggarette I would just take some puffs from the hookah. It's easier on the lungs and has just enough nicotine to ween you off and take the edge off. Regardless of the technique you use though your going to need some will power from the Lord so prayer is the most important part of any way you use to quit.
Good luck!

Quit smoking all at once. Expect to be uncomfortable for six weeks. After that it should be easy.

Lol, prepare to be frustrated.

I stopped smoking for a year to see what it was like once. A super hard thing to do, but of course it can be done.

Ok, as a former smoker, you really want to know how to quit. Take a pack of cigarettes, open it and leave it out in the open somewhere for like 30 days. A good place is on the dashboard inside your car..let that sun get at it.

Then, after 30 days or so...smoke the whole pack in like an hour.

It is an awful awful experience. And your body will reject smoking after that.

Find a buddy to support you (or quit with you) in a way you'll know will make you say,"Yeah you're right!!" Tell everyone that you are trying to quit & if they catch you trying to smoke you owe them the money a pack of cigarettes is worth. Tell everyone to remind you of your goal! Don't spend time in your "smoking area" & if you do spend it with someone who supports your goal. Don't joke about your goals until its done. Everytime you want to smoke put a spoonful of salt in your mouth...
