i'd like to know how many have worked in nursing homes and have witnessed forms of abuse. Question: How would you put a stop to it and what limits would be there to call it abuse. As a Christian, it would be wrong to overlook it, but to speak up would cost a job to oppose it.

I need to know what is considered abuse. The home I work for has wonderful residents and horrible staff. Workers care more about their next party than caring for these people who need us the most. I'm thinking about using cameras and voice recorders to prove how mistreated the residents are by certain workers. Just don't know... my sister is the director of nurses... so my line to work is short. If I'm fired for reporting, then there will be no one really taken care of. I feel I'm the only one who cares. And all my people here at this home is like my family... in fact one of them is my mother. my camera and voice reports will go to my sister and I'll let her decide from there.

do what you know is right. get evidence to prove and back up your story, if nothing is done about it take it to the top. the elderly are people too and its not right they get treated badly. good luck and God bless
