do you have to be baptised to be saved or walk a path with Christ?

Hi Mercyme, no baptism is not required for salvation. Baptism is simply symbolic, showing one has faith, they repented of their sins, confessed Christ as Lord, and accepted Him personally. It's also symbolic for how Jesus' blood washes away all sins.

It's a confession before men, Matthew 10:32 says 'Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.' Luke 12:8-9 says 'Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.'

Romans 10:9 says 'That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalr be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation'. That says it all, with the mouth confession is made unto salvation, you confess Him as Lord, that's it, you're saved. Says nothing about baptism being required.

1 John 4:15 'Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.'

Hope this helps, God bless.

Oh a quick note, also, baptism is also symbolic of the covenant...that God will save whosoever believes, confesses, repents, and accpets Him.
